Liked: It was very close to Termini in a safe neighborhood and easy to find. They provide clean sheets, which was really nice, since we were traveling so light.

Disliked: There is no communal space, making it difficult to meet other travelers.

Liked: The hostel has free wifi and is really close to the train station. I would only recommend this hostel for someone who is on a tight budget, staying 1-2 nights max and if you're travelling with a friend. There is no common area for meeting people.

Disliked: The rooms in the hostel are spacious but the hostel itself is actually small meaning that you can hear any noise coming from the hallway. There aren't any lockers to secure your belongings. The guy working at the hostel opened our room door without knocking to change the bed sheets of the unoccupied bed. Also, I don't think they change/ wash the duvet covers, I have small red bumps on my arms (bed bugs?).

Liked: La buonissima posizione, a pochi minuti a piedi da Termini (uscita destra). Il prezzo è uno tra i più economici.

Disliked: Corridoi minuscoli e asfissianti, due bagnetti con lavandini microscopici, letti a castello

Liked: Staff member was very helpful and kind.

Disliked: Shared bathrooms were a bit dirty (though this depends on who the other guests are at the time). However, once we moved into the ensuite room, everything was much better.

Liked: I enjoyed our / 2 person / stay 7 -10 Dec 2011. Perfect location near Termini Station. Pleasant and helpful staff, good accomodation, reasonable price. I recommend this hostel.

Disliked: Staff can't speak English. They always give promises that they didn't keep, beds are too small and coming from dressers..

Liked: The service and facilities in Ma Hostel were fantastic, far better than what I could have expected. The house keeper was extraordinary nice and helpful: he provided us with a map, showed us how to handle the different utilities in the hostel, indicated where are the best places to visit/to eat (also with discounts), explained more about transportation and Roma pass, offered a solution for luggage keeping for the last day and many many others. The room was really clean, well equipped with TV,DVD player, 2 big drawers,lovely modern paintings, curtains, one bathroom. We had as well hot water. In the main hall we had a fridge, microwave, plastic cups/cutlery/plates... Overall we really felt like home or even better! The hostel was in easy reach from Termini railway station (few min on foot). The proximity was as well extremely convenient. We would come back again any day!! Thank you for this great experience!

Liked: Especially we liked friendly and helpful staff, even we got a present at the beginning of our stay. Really hostel and our room was very clean. Staff speak in English very well. Besides hostel is in very good location, near Termini station where you can find all public transport.

Disliked: There is only one disadvantage in this hostel, because there is no kitchen in the hostel only microwave oven.

Liked: Friendly staff. Location was easy to find, and convenient but ONLY for arrival and departure (close to train station), otherwise FAR from the sights, cafes restaurants and nightlife. Next time I will prefer something closer to Trastevere.

Disliked: Rather dirty and unkempt. Needs maintenance! OK for only a couple night's stay!

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: We stayed for 2 days at this place and on the 2nd day, the rooms were nt cleaned nor did we get a change of towels. When we asked about this, the person claimed that the rooms were cleaned when it was obvious that they had not. The arrogant attitude of staff, lack of cleanliness about the place made us very uncomfortable and we would not like to recommend this place.

Liked: Monty, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. He's highly knowledgeable of the neighborhood and of everything from grocery stores to all tourist sites in Rome. He even accompanied me to a place nearby to get a watch battery. We felt in good hand with his advice and will stay at Ma Hostel again.

Disliked: The "lobby" area was a bit cramped, but not to the point it was a hassle. The rooms were spacious however.
