Liked: Very comfortable, clean, and safe -- the atmosphere is that of a shared home, so not recommended for those looking for four-star hotel services. The owners are incredibly sweet and helpful, and go out of their way to accommodate guests' needs. It was my first time in Rome, and thanks to Vanessa's clearly-marked map and recommendations, I was able to find all of the major sights on my very first day. Our room and private bathroom were spotless, and the free wi-fi worked well. There is a computer with printer that is free for guests to use, and a small kitchen, also for guest use. Free breakfast (delivered to your door) is a croissant, yogurt, cappuccino, juice, crackers, jam, honey, and butter. Excellent location, on a quiet street that also has a pharmacy, a couple of cafes and restaurants, fruit markets, and a bus stop to Termini Station. It's just a few blocks away from posh Via Venuto, and within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi, Villa Borghese, and main shopping/dining areas.

Disliked: There was no safe or locker in the room for storage of valuables, even though this is advertised on the Hostelbookers site.

Liked: Amazing location, wonderful staff (husband and wife) who went above and beyond (for example, we had to leave very early on our last day so they arranged a complimentary breakfast at a cafe across the street!), delicious breakfast delivered to the room, very clean and quiet.

Disliked: Air conditioner was a little weak.

Liked: We literally were living in the proprietors' home and it was a delight. There was a refrigerator full of bottles of cold water for us, free of charge, which was a real lifesaver in the scalding Roman summer sun. Our rooms were separate from the family, but if we needed anything they were instantly ready to make reservations at good local restaurants, provide maps and directions, and so forth. The wife spoke very good English and the husband managed all the luggage with a huge smile. The A/C felt great, the shower water was hot and the bathrooms clean. Best of all, breakfast was brought right to your door on a tray at whatever time you arranged and with whatever sort of coffee or latte or whatever you wished! They even paid the new tax put on B&Bs per person in Rome for us because it was enacted after we had made our reservation and had not been included in the price - it was waived for us completely. I would stay again in an instant!

Disliked: There was a problem with their credit card machine, so we had to pay in cash for four people in two rooms for two days, which not everyone is prepared to do, but the problem would have been fixed if we had been there on any other day - of course banks are not open on Sundays to fix such things, and we understood that completely. Not an issue now, as I understand it.

Liked: The bathrooms were clean. They were pretty hospitable when we got there. They said they were having water leakage problems, so they had to move us to another bed and breakfast two blocks away. It's pretty close to a train station (about 5-6 blocks) and the station can take you to many of the sights.

Disliked: The staff was not available when needed. They brought us the wrong breakfast. There was also no storage availability because they said there was no receptionist between 12 and 3 or something.

Liked: It was in a great part of town, only a 2 minutes walk to the main road. Everything was walkable, we stumbled across the Trevi Fountain first day we were there without walking too far at all. The man who was there spoke very little English, but luckily he spoke French, so we were able to communicate that way. Very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent for a B&B.

Disliked: The air conditioner wasn't the most powerful unit. But besides little things, everything was excellent.

Liked: Very nice and helpful staff, rooms were cleaned every day, good location: bus stop just around the corner to reach Termini Station and the centre of Rome; Internet point plus Wi-Fi in the rooms to use notebook or smartphone; top place to explore Rome on your own...

Disliked: We had to stay in another Hotel for the first night, which was no problem at all. It was just 5 minutes away and the staff was very friendly, helpful and zealous.

Liked: The staff at B&B Rome went out of their way everyday to make sure we had the best possible stay. Breakfast of tea, juice, yogurt, croissants and toast is delivered to the room, free unlimited wifi, great area... I can't fault the place.

Liked: The location was good and the staff was very nice and helpful. We did take advantage of the kitchen and internet access. The building was interesting.

Disliked: The room was very small for 3 people. The tiles in the shower are ready to fall off the wall. The bathroom was small and had two small step downs that were very awkward.

Liked: Ten minute walk to Termini Station, ten minutes to Spanish steps. Lots of restaurants close as well.

Disliked: No laundry facilities, and "Rome" tax not mentioned in advance.

Liked: Vanessa and her husband are awesome, they gave us hints on how to go around the city, breakfast was very good, the room and washroom where spotless, definitely we would stay there again and recommend it to anyone. You only have to walk a few blocks to get to the bus @ Via Veneto and from there a few minutes to the subway.

Disliked: Everything perfect!

Disliked: The nearest Metro station from this hostel is a bit far. Around 10 min walking. For the rest no complaints!

Liked: the delux ensuite was in an independent 3 bedroom apt. you only share the kitchen and computer/internet with the other 2 couples, and own the key of your room. it's quiet, warm and nice. good to have breakfast in the room, although the breakfast itself could be much better. the staff is really helpful and considerate. excellent if you want to save money having dinner "at home". some personal extra advise: the location is rather good, but don't count on the bus (you can wait half an hour); if you stay 3 days and like to walk, get 5 or 6 "bit" and not the 11 euros 3 days pass ;)

Disliked: some cleanliness issue that was solved after our complaint. if someone smokes in the kitchen you can smell it from the room.
