Liked: It was in the perfect location for people coming in and out of Rome for the first time - a five-minute walk from Termini station and close to many of the main attractions. The staff was also very friendly, although not always very helpful.

Liked: The owners were extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to help us with anything that they could. They even brought me two bottles of wine on my birthday!

Liked: The building itself is offputting, it's seriously run down, but if you don't mind staying in a run down building it really good value for money. The women who runs it was soo nice and helpful and the place was cleaned pretty well everyday. Theres a bathroom on everyfloor which was really good and you can't beat the location, you can see the coloseum from the rooftop. It's definatly not luxury but if your not picky it's really good value for money.

Liked: The location was by far the best thing about the property. The woman who managed the place was extremely helpful and accommodating, and had one of her employees walk us to the other property.

Liked: There is no name sign at the appartment. I walked around 3 times at the same street. The name just written on the bell.Rooms, kitchen and bathroom were very dirty. we stayed for 3 nights. and they didnt change sheets anytime. my girlfriend became ill. It was an emergency situation. we went to hostel back to take a medicine. and she shouted us : "you cant come hostel at 3pm. we want to sleep 2pm to 4pm you have to respect us." and we left. this is the worst hostel I've stayed.

Liked: The hostel is very very dirty, toilet's floor is full of water, they didn't change the dustbin in toilet everydays. There is very noisy everydays in midnight. Beds is broken and old. This is the worst hostel that i've stayed.

Liked: Cheap price and location were good, but the only good things! Staff often rude - when I and two other adults couldn't light the stove, the woman refused to walk the five flights to the terrace saying a child could do it. Alot of stairs, unclean kitchen but clean (tightly packed) rooms. Was cheap but would pay the extra couple of euros to stay somewhere else next time.

Liked: the hostel was very dirty... but it's very difficult to find a place in the center of rome 5 minutes walking from the colosseum at this cheap price specially in this period. So for us (3 boys) it was not a bad stay. We stay in the room only for sleep and have shower (good).

Liked: friendly staff. good location. NO WIFI!!!!! hot water is a rarity. so is water pressure. so is heat. so are towels and warm blankets. so are decent lockers for valuables.

Liked: Basically nothing was good about this property, except for its location.The cleanness of the room was really bad - among the worst out of more than 15 hostels I've lived in. There was no stable hot water for shower for 3 days and the hostel didn't provide any solution. The room was also freezing without proper heating equipment. The worst was the security - the reception was completely closed after 10pm and they didn't check who got in from the front door. Although there was a lock, but sometimes the door couldn't lock well after opening. So basically anyone could get into the hostel and that was what happened.

Liked: The shower was not consistent, it would go from very hot to very cold which made it difficult to deal with, The staff is a couple, they women is very nice and very friendly, the man seems to have had a terrible attitude the whole stay. If you book thru Hostelbookers, you do not get the free breakfast

Liked: Very old building in deed. Room was old but livable, arguably fitting the price. In case you want to walk barefoot on the the rooftop, Tetanus shot may be necessary as the roof tiles are rusty metal sheets. We missed the pasta night but the "brown bag" breakfast was certainly worth it.

Liked: Especially good if you're looking for inexpensive accommodation. Very quiet neighborhood, excellent proximity to Colosseum, trains, attractions. Building is old and worn down, rooftop terrace is cluttered with broken chairs and rusted metal, but offers a nice open-air view of Rome. Bathrooms and bedrooms are kept clean and sanitary.The every-other-night €2 pasta dinner is a great deal and a good way to meet people. Otherwise it's a bit hard to meet people since common area is on the top floor you don't get to see people coming and going.

Liked: Its ok. Beds are comfy, breakie for 2euros is ok. staff ok. Free internet for 10mins but there is ONLY ONE COMPUTER. No WiFi.

Liked: The staff is so friendly and amazing. They feed you every other day! and the breakfast is only 2Euro or sometimes included. They let you use their computer on a time limit, but still very accomodating. The rooftop is amazing! I felt at home here.

Liked: Worst hostel I've ever been too. The building was half falling apart, the kitchen was absolutely dirty, they didn't have any kitchen utensils, breakfast (which costs 2€) is a bunch of packed things served on a brown paper bag. Location is good though.

Liked: Yes, they have TVs in every room. Except they aren't hooked up to anything. They have speghetti dinners. Except they require 20 people to sign up first, which never got close to happening. It has a good location and a rooftop view of Rome, except there isn't much to see from the rooftop except a couple of peaks of certain monuments. Everyone kept to themselves and the common rooftop area was dirty and barely used. Overall, it was a bed that was clean at an average price, and I walked away with an average experience.

Liked: A spaghetti party every second night: pay 2€ and get as much pasta and wine as you want. A great opportunity to meet people and shear experiences.WARNING: the place where we stayed was about 300m from casa olmata (street called via merulana). We didn't know this in advance and were a bit scared. Anyhow, the place was really nice and the rest of the building was full of flats of "normal people". I guess the private rooms (we had one for 2 persons) are in the separate building and the sheared ones in the casa olmata building.
