Liked: the atmosphire with other travelers that you can meet on the evenings on the roof or on pasta night that they do for free every other night. staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: a lot of stairs to the rooms (on the 3rd-7th floors with no alevator)

Liked: It didnt look like much from the street but inside it was clean and tidy. The lady who worked there was a gem, she really seemed to care if I was ok and if I was having a good time. The room I was in was big with only two bunks and two single beds (they dont cram six bunks in one room). I had a small kitchen in my room which was handy and a bed side table it felt like home. There are free pasta nights which are fun and never have I been to hostel where they give you a breakfast coupon for a cafe. Central location and cheap for Rome. Met some awesome girls who I spent the whole time with.

Disliked: The ouside isnt much for the eye and the upper roof top was always wet while I was there.

Liked: They have friendly, helpful staff, free pasta party every second night which gives you more chances to meet other travelers. Rooms and Bathrooms cleaned daily.

Disliked: The lock on the room door was not working

Liked: Amazing location, very safe street, very very good value. Really nice staff, totally fluent in English (helpful as we spoke English, Spanish, French and German but no Italian!)

Disliked: Staircase was quite dank and smelt of mould.

Liked: Free Pasta Parties! Delicious home cooked meals. 5 min from main train station which can get you everywhere else in rome. and walking distance to the coloseum and forum!

Liked: It was easy to get around Rome from the hostel, very clean, lots of fascilities, a nice place to hang out on the roof and was safe.

Disliked: Lots of steps to climb to roof!

Liked: It is near the train station, and it is located at walking distance from all the main sights in Rome. Breakfast is good, and you can take away what you don't eat for the rest of the day. The staff is helpful, but they're not there 24 hours. Anyway, you have a key to the main entrance, so there is no curfew. The terrace is nice, and they organize free pasta or sangria there in the evenings.

Disliked: The room was very small, but I had a bed, not a bunk, and felt really comfortable. I was lucky to be at the 2nd floor, because there is no elevator, as it is and old building.

Liked: The location was great and the breakfast quite generous. There were also regular events such as pasta parties for the guests.

Disliked: The bathrooms were sometimes not very clean and had water on the floor making it difficult.

Liked: Casa Olmata is very conveniently located. The rooms are nice and they clean the bathrooms twice a day. They provide breakfast in a bag lunch which you can take to the roof to enjoy the view, or take on your way out. The roof is an excellent place to hang out and meet people- especially on the pasta nights! There is a computer for short term use if you need it. The staff is friendly and helpful. I loved this hostel and highly recommend it- great price for Rome.

Liked: Excellent central location - can walk anywhere you like in Rome, about 7 mins from the Colosseum! There's a great terrace on the roof for people to relax, eat, drink, etc. with the Colosseum and other sights within view. Every other day or so they bring up big bowls of pasta which is more than everyone can eat, and the included breakfast is excellent as well. The best hostel I stayed at in 7 weeks of travelling!

Liked: The atmosphere is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! The owners are so cute and kind! .. They prepeared some days "italian pasta" for free for everybody. You must stay in the terraza with a plate and a fork and ready to eat!So this dinner make everybody to eat together at the same time, in consecuence is the best way to meet people and enjoy the delicious pasta!!!The view from the terraza is great, you can enjoy the sunset and see the colosseo at the same time.

Liked: the room is great- lots of space for 6 people, have kitchen (with owen, sink and frige). also theu have a terrace- beautiful view to colosseo, palace of vittorio emmanuele and even san pietro, and a good place to meet people. good breakfast!

Disliked: they always clean room during the first time of the day, so sometimes u can't use the shower and u have to wait,

Liked: It is situated in a safe neighbourhood with the police station just next to it. Around 5-6 minutes walk from the train station. Breakfast provided is quite filling and the rooftop provides quite a good view of Rome.

Liked: Very Cheap, you get what you pay for. Breakfast is one croissant and a coffee, bathroom flooded and stayed flooded till morning everytime anyone used the shower
