Liked: Really friendly staff, make you feel at home. Offered me their pasta, & opened my wine like true gents! ...Doesn't feel like a hostel, more like a big houseshare :)

Disliked: lock-out in the day can be a big problem when you need more sleep. :(

Liked: I liked the location most of all. It was in a relatively good part of town where we were not afraid of getting mugged at night. The staff is very friendly, and were very helpful once you got to know them. There were always lots of people in the common area and it seemed quite easy to meet people.

Disliked: The room assignments differed from the reservations and there were not enough lockers in each room to accommodate everyone staying there. My room was very cold each night even though the heater seemed to be functional. The lock-out during the day is also inconvenient.

Disliked: You have to leave the hostel between 12 and 5 and this is really annoying, when the weather is bad

Liked: The kitchen is very nice and it has a lot of kitchenware ready to use. The hostel is very near the Vatican and it is located in a safe area. There is hot water and the space room is enough. The lift always works properly.

Disliked: There are not enough electrical conections. They clean from 10am to 5pm!! I found that disgusting. There are no locks on doors. The locks in bathrooms are insecure and if you push them the lock falls down. One of the members of the staff threw away my recently boiled water and he did not even asked. Besides, this very person entered into my room freely very early in the morning and too late at night because he had some stuff of his own under a lock there. There are not enough space for having a good time and not enough computers. The signals to get to the hostel are poor and you have to guess for an hour where it is after going around by a hundred rooms in the entire building!

Liked: only the location

Disliked: The hostel did not respect my reservation, putting more people in my room I had reserved and would not return my money, they did not comply with the facilities provided by HostelBookers was not done cleaning the room while I was staying, there was much disorganization and lack of respect.

Liked: location and price. Two of the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. met some good friends over good meals. free internet.

Disliked: 50 beds and 4 bathrooms with showers inside the bathrooms, so if you need to pee in the morning - goodluck. lockout from 10am to 5pm. 1 functioning locker in a 6-bed dorm. smoking balcony consistently leaked cigarette smoke into the common room and kitchen, cigarette smell was always in the hallways....kitchen breaker goes when the oven and microwave are on together....room doors do not lock.........what can i say you get what you pay for!

Liked: The company of the other guests was good. The place was hospitable and the staff was friendly.

Disliked: The internet was not working for the days I was there, the bathrooms leaked water and the bolts to the bathroom was not really secure, it was bolted but just barely.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: the receptionists are not multilingual, some of them cant speak in English There is no hot water during the morning time so that I can't take the shower Stuff there wake people up at 10 and no one can stay there till 5 for them to clean up the rooms so that we can't even take a nap in the afternoon which sounds so ridiculous, during my stay there, the stuff were always playing some party music during the night time so that I couldn't sleep well, n more over they asked me to change room in a really rude way. There are no keys for people who stay there or enough lockers in the room, so I dont feel good when I stayed there. Its not money worthy at all. I don't recommend anyone to stay there. It's really not a good choice, spend a little more and u will be happier during ur stay in Rome

Liked: The staff was very friendly, and we always felt safe and comfortable.

Disliked: It was high up in a building and thus required A LOT of stairs to gain access.

Liked: It was a lively place to be, with a big kitchen and fridges to cook and store food. Free internet and computers. if you are by the Colloseum in the day, people promote bar crawls which are really worth the money and you get free pizza!! Great way to meet people.

Disliked: It is very disorganised and hard to find. You buzz to go in, go to the top floor, and ring a bell. No keys, just your word that you are staying there. The first night we went out, we arrived home in the early hours to find someone in my bed. I then had to follow a staff member round to find a free bed in a different room to my friend and my stuff. Really the strangest place I've ever stayed.

Liked: good location, friendly staff and good facilities.

Disliked: kitchen is too small for number of guests, and not enough bathrooms as everyone wants to use them at the same time (before 10am when everyone has to leave until 5pm). showers are a bit hot/cold but perfectly usable.

Liked: They were located very close to the Vatican city and other sites were all within walking distance.

Disliked: If you want to take a nap or snooze in the middle of the day, or even get some work done you can't. They do not allow their paying guests to be in the hostel between 11am and 5pm, despite the fact that they say they're open 24 hours. I can understand asking people to stay out of the rooms for cleaning, but at least make the common room available. I also asked for a bottom bunk and they said there weren't any available, yet night came and went and nobody slept in the bottom bunks that were open in my room. The hostel is not very accommodating to their paying guests. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else in Rome.

Disliked: Staff were very poor, there were alway several members of staff dominating the common areas and the only way the could be discribed is hostile and perverted. No change when paying 76 euro balance and no payment of the 4 euro debt... DISAPOINTING!

Liked: It was an awesome location for the Vatican and Basilica. It wasn't in a bad spot for other things in Rome either. Good wifi connection in rooms. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable...except the creepy guy.

Disliked: It was dirty. Lock out from 10am -5pm was stupid. "Common area" was a tiny room with 1 table. Not secure at all! Mohammed, one of the staff members was a total creep. I told him to leave me alone countless times. Finally I had to stop responding to him in any way and he left me alone...after starting at me for about 5 minutes.
