Simon VieiraAwesome value for money and the staff really make an effort to make your stay a good one. Mabri sits you down when you check in, asks you how long you're in rome for and helps you plan out your stay. He even called and booked tours etc. Breakfast although small is with locals in a small local cafe so it all adds to the experience. And you get a bottle of red wine on check in! For what you pay its great. |

Customer reviewlocation was handy to train station and buses. The breakfast cafe around the corner was great to watch the italian people interacting. Should have had wifi in rooms. Internet cafe down stairs had free access but no where to connect laptop if your carrying one. |

Customer reviewCheap and nasty most probably describes this place best. To be clear, thre are no lockers, there is no WiFi, the internet cafe has terribly slow computers, no common room to meet other people and no kitchen. Breakfast is one croissant and one cup of coffee. Location is fine, near the station, there is one bathroom between 12 people. |

Customer reviewI was traveling with my mom so we didn't want to stay in a hostel. We booked a double with a shared bathroom but Mabri gave us a double ensuite at no extra charge. It was a very nice, clean hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. we liked the free bottle of wine! Breakfast wasn't huge but it was delicious! we got a cappuccino and got to chose from several bakery items. I'm not sure what other hotel are like in the area but they seemed more expensive. Overall, Funny Palace seemed to be a very good value for the money. I would definitely stay here again! |

judith viragGreat location just an easy 5 minute stroll from termini, felt safe walking alone late at night. Hostel in a nice building next door to the laundromat. Free internet access there. Hostel on the 5th floor, but there is an elevator. Beds v comfy, 4 single beds in a room, nice kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommended! |

carson drummondThe staff were very helpful and went out of their way on arrival to make sure that you saw the most of rome. They gave helpful advice on how to save money in rome and made bookings for some of the museums that are harder to get into. The idea of combining a laundromat (which is very cheap) with internet access ( which is free !! ) is an extremly helpful combination for me. This was the first time i have stayed at a place that gave me a free guide, a free bottle of wine and discount cards for local shops as soon as i walked in. The rooms were large and clean, there is access to a fridge. Security is good, you need 3 keys to get into the room from the street. |

Paul WilsonGreat location 3 blocks from Termini Station. Jonny was a great help and gave me a crash-course itinerary in what I could do with my 2.5 days in Rome - and I got most of it done! Jonny and his bro were always willing to help out. Although there are no lockers, the room had 2 safes to 4 beds. 1 lockable bathroom services 3 rooms, and although I had no problems getting in when I wanted, I heard room-mates had problems during peak periods. So, get in early in the morning or late at night :P To access room, there are THREE locks - downstairs door, door to hostel lobby, then door to hostel room - so all in all it's pretty secure. Would most definitely stay again if travelling alone to Rome. |

Connie LamMarbri who greeted me on arrival - so friendly and nice and helpful with the map/itinerary. Clean, very spacious dorm, clean bathroom. So convenient to train and bus stations. Plus a complimentary bottle of nice red wine was included, so enjoyed that greatly though it was already opened and partly consumed...other dorm roommates had their own bottles mmm.... |

Customer reviewIT WAS IN AN OKAY LOCATION, CLOSE TO THE TRAIN STATION. THE OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL AND HELPED US PLAN OUT OUR WHOLE TRIP AND GAVE US SOME POINTERS. THERE WAS ONLY ONE SHOWER FOR 12 PEOPLE, SO THAT WAS A PROBLEM AT TIMES, BUT I WOULD RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHER TRAVELLERS |

Customer reviewBeds are comfortable, internet is free, breakfast is tasty at the local cafe and staff is friendly. There is a single bathroom (toilet and shower) for about 10-12 people. You can't use the stove in the kitchen, so the "kitchen" is really only a sink and fridge - because of this, the eating area that could be communal is never used, so I rarely saw anyone outside my own roommates. There was mold in the shower when I was there. |
