Liked: We arrived very early at the place (7am) and did not inform beforehand. Luckily, their receptionist, Donna arrived early (everyday!) and allowed us to have an early check-in. The place has good facilities (excellent showers, WIFI, lovely kitchen) and the breakfast provided was also sufficient to help kick-start our day. The place is also very near to the Colloseum and Termini station. Will definitely recommend couples who prefer some privacy to stay in Conte House private ensuite rooms.

Disliked: Being awaken at night (~11pm) by other guests whom I assume do not have the keys for their rooms. Maybe because it is a shared room and they only have one key for each room.

Liked: Its truly a wonderful place to stay. Conte house within 5 minutes walk you reach a couple of different bus stations, metro staion, supermarket, a highly recommended "osteria", a Pizzeria... The rooms are clean, and there is everything you need: wireless lan, a computer and printer, kitchen, balcony, fridge, real italian coffee... Most of the day, Fabio is arround, without his recommendations we would not got to know Roma that well.

Liked: This is a really cosy hostel, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. Its clean, really central, there was a good atmosphere and the breakfast is good. Also the heating is brill, you can have the room as hot or as cool as you like.

Disliked: Nothing. I guess a communal kitchen would be nice, for the possiblity to eat breakfast etc with others. Its a 'work in progress', finished soon. We had breakfast at a little table in the corridor, which was fine. You can hear everything thats going on in the corridor from the rooms, but it wasn't a problem. There was no noise at night (we didn't have a street facing room).

Liked: Conte House felt like home.. It was my first trip alone, and thanks to Fabio and the great location of the hostel (5 minutes away from the Coliseum) my experience was awesome!!! I totally recommend it!! Good wi-fi, really clean, good breakfast! I loved it...

Liked: Fabbio, the owner, was a very kind and helpful person. While he didn't speak the best English, he definitely did his best to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Everything was just perfect and homey and I would definitely stay there again!

Disliked: It's kind of on a noisy street. Bring ear plugs!

Liked: Fabio was extremely friendly, introducing us to Rome and giving us tips on what to see, where to eat, etc. Very much appreciate his hospitality - it made Rome that much more enjoyable.

Liked: Helpful staff, nice breakfast, comfortable rooms, nice and warm as I was there in middle of winter!

Disliked: Room was quite small for 5 beds and a bit more expensive than other hostels but justified by pros I guess.

Liked: This place was wonderfully close to Termini, and walkable to S. Giovanni Laterano and S. Maria Maggiore, both of which are really cool churches and have busy bus stops.

Disliked: It was on a busy road, so our room was a little noisy.

Liked: Really a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum, room was great, staff was awesome. Fabio was amazingly helpful, went over a map with us and reviewed how to get to everything we wanted to see, gave us helpful hints for shopping and eating.

Liked: Great atmosphere, nice staff, the location is 10 min walk from Termini train station. It has a kitchen with all the necessary tools and a play station. some of the rooms have a flat screen T.v thew the programs in Italy is all in Italian you cant understand nothing...the wireless work great and they have computers and printer for the guests. ask the staff recommendation for local restaurant and you wont be disappointed.

Disliked: The noise from the street in the morning.

Liked: AMAZING: very central location, close to the Colosso and to the underground too, huge international breakfast and warm friendly staff to welcome you! Clean, tidy rooms with good services and perfect showers! Highly recommend!!

Liked: Fabio and the other staff were nice, and the breakfast table was way beyond any expectations. Great value for money and nice authentic atmosphere close to San Giovanni in Laterano and the Colosseum. Very nice!
