Liked: The location, the bacony, the size and value for money and the safety - the flat tucked away behind a giant door as it was :)

Disliked: I think it was excellent, though the lady who showed us up didn't speak English.

Liked: The room was good and the bathroom neat and clean. La habitación era buena y el baño prolijo y limpio.

Disliked: In English: Book 30 days in advance and when we arrived there was no room and they wanted to give us a room of lesser quality than that paid. As we refused they took us to another hostel farther than we had chosen. Also was worse but as at that point we lost the whole morning discussing, we end up accepting. At first we talked with the manager is fluent in English... but after the problems he pretends he did not understand what I was talking about. En Español: Reservamos con 30 días de anticipación y cuando llegamos no había lugar y nos quisieron dar una habitación de menor calidad a la pagada. Como nos negamos nos llevaron a otro hostal mas lejos del que habíamos elejido. Igualmente era peor pero como a esa altura ya habíamos perdido toda la mañana discutiendo terminamos aceptando. Al principio con el encargado hablabamos perfectamente ingles... pero luego de los problemas se hacía el que no entendía lo que le hablaba.

Liked: In a perfect location for exploring all the major sights of Rome, whether on foot (10 mins from coloseum) or via the metro which is just a couple of minutes down the road. We had the double room with ensuite which was great for the amount we paid. The staff were friendly when we checked in (which is at their sister hotel) and showed us to Gaia, pointing out the supermarket on the way!

Disliked: Nothing that doesnt come from a city centre apartment at that price. I struggled with the noise as since we went in summer and there was no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan, it meant sleeping with the window open which was very noisy. Dont expect anything special for breakfast - it was pre-packaged croissants and squash - but the coffee is so good at a local cafe we didnt bother.

Liked: Location is very central,easy walk from terminal station, we had flight from london and took bus to terminal (main train and bus station. It was five minute to accomodation checkin and then guided to room. Double room with private bathroom clean and tidy. Simple breakfast and away each day, walked to all major attractions. Internet wifi in room use was great. Lift to our 3rd floor room was just fine, small two person lift. Small kitchen allowed us to make meals from goods from supermarket across road. Room serviced each day. Very happy with stay recommend to others.

Disliked: We were there in 33C temperatures, no aircon in room, ceilling fan,so hot nights at 20C+. Being central means traffic noise with windows open,we sleep well no internal noise from others. No other issues

Liked: I have to appreciate the location (near Roma termini a on the opposite side is Santa Maria Maggiore) and also it has very good traffic connection with the center of Rome (but indeed it is 10-15 min. of walking far from Coloseo).

Disliked: In my point of view and under my requests it has everything what I need (location, services...) I don ´t know about the disadvantages or dislikes.

Liked: The location was very good.

Disliked: The staff was not friendly. They almost started yelling at me because I didn't know about a tax they include in the price (a city tax) and they made me pay it no matter it was not included when I book the room. The place was not safe and secure. They didn't have good locks at the doors, I had problems to lock and unlock my room. It was not clean. The bathroom was in very poor conditions.

Liked: The location is perfect, the stuff is friendly and helpful & the rooms are kept very clean.

Disliked: The privates are with shared bathroom.

Liked: Very good location, near the Termini Station, the metro and other transports.

Disliked: we did the check in in a different hotel and then they took us by car to a different hotel address that is described at the website. But at least it was very close to the real Gaia.

Liked: Like: Location on the piazza Santa Maria Maggiore and the hotel is near Termini station and good restaurants and bars!

Disliked: Dislike: 1 bathroom for 4 rooms (so, maybe 8 persons). No mirror, no chair in the room. Just in my room, no heating. Room is not cleaned every day!

Disliked: It used too many keys to get into the room and there were only 1 set of keys.

Liked: Location close (walking distance) to city highlights (Forum, Colosseum, Santa Maria Maggiore). Price is very ok. Room is cleaned every day (freshly made bed, fresh towels, etc.) Supermarket very close by.

Disliked: Breakfast is pretty basic (just toast with marmelade). Street noise (bring ear plugs!) DO NOT GO to the Swiss bar/restaurant at the corner (Big Swiss flag)!!!!!! They'll made us pay more than 40 Euros for two lousy plates of microwaved frozen food.... Staff is very rude and unfriendly.

Liked: cozy apartment, near the tourist attractions, close to termini station, quite safe

Disliked: even though receptionist spoke english, the staff at gaia did not speak any english, just italian; poor breakfast; many homeless people in surroundings (but it was because of the hostel's location near termini, i guess); improper functioning lock on the door in one apartment

Disliked: The streets around are full of homeless peoples and beggars, especially by night.

Liked: We had a large room with double bed and ensuite, which was good value for money. There was also a small breakfast available in the morning. Great location, near a supermarket, termini station, many restaurants and walking distance to many tourist sites.

Disliked: The woman owner didn't speak any English. It was quite hard to find, and had to wait in another hostel until we were met and taken to the Gaia B&B.
