Liked: -free car ride organized by the hotel to Prima porta at 6 AM because I asked for it-plenty of native English speaking staff-the relaxed atmosphere of the place-pool, small but nice-5 free internet computers-good pizza at the restaurant

Disliked: -when you take a shower the water always manages to find its way to the living room area no matter what you do, it is just plain bad design -price of water is ridiculous at the food store on the camping grounds -not even a SHARED kitchen -wifi did not work no longer than one minute at a time on my laptop -cannot even use google street view because the common computer does not have flash installed on it nor does have keyboards preinstalled for other languages besides the US English

Liked: Tiber Village had a great atmosphere, added by the Bar/Restaurant. This provides a place to socialize with people, and also to just relax and chill after a long day out sightseeing. Pool was fantastic after a long hot day also..it was also just as nice spending all day lying in the sun beside it to work on the tan :) Staff were overall friendly, and the place had a young viberant feel to it.

Disliked: I found that the Cabin we stayed in wasnt so hygenic, things like ants etc were finding there way into our cabin, and you could hear every single thing that went on in the room next to you. Also if your wanting to be close to the city centre of Rome, i wouldn't choose Tiber Village, it takes a good 30 minuets to get into the main tube line to take you into Rome, which can take even longer depending on where you are wanting to go. But if you are patient enough to stand the ride in and out again and want a nice relaxing campsite I would definately recommend Tiber :)

Liked: Super cheap, nice camp atmosphere and friendly staff. The coach shuttle to the train station deserves three stars. The dorms have groups of beds arranged in "cubicles" which give you more privacy than you might have in other dorms. There is a small swimming pool and lots of bathrooms, and you can choose between a lot of different accommodation options - from dorms to tents, campers, bungalows...

Disliked: There are no lockers in the dorms, although there is the possibility to lock your luggage in a storage room next to the reception. There is also no kitchen for people who sleep in the dorm, but there is a small supermarket and a nice bar/restaurant right next to the rooms.

Liked: It had a pool and is inexpensive.

Disliked: I stayed at Tiber Village for 4 weeks. 2 weeks into my stay I upgraded to a 2 bed private room where for 3 days the electricity turned on and off at random. Annoying and potentially destructive to the computers that were plugged to the wall socket. We informed the staff about the electricity problem all 3 days that we were in the room and nothing was done to fix the problem. When I was moved to a dorm room, I was attacked by bed bugs for another 3 nights (see photos here: http://s941.photobucket.com/albums/ad254/MikeFrankos/bedbug%20bites%20from%20my%20stay%20at%20Tiber%20Village/ ). When I told the staff about the bedbugs, I was moved to another dorm room where I was bitten again. After letting the staff know that I got bit in the new room, I was moved back to a private room where, once again I was bit by bedbugs. I ended up having to go the the Emergency Room where the doctor confirmed the bites were from bedbugs and and gave me a report to bring back to Tiber Village. I spoke to a staff member again who did not want to see the report from the doctor and told me that "these things happen all the time and there is nothing that the campsite could do about it". Twice I asked to speak with the manager and twice was told that the manager was not available. I finally tracked down the owner (Johnny) who became extremely defensive and threatening but did end up offering me a 20% discount off the price of my stay. 20% off for electricity that didn't work for 3 days and and over a week of disgusting bites on my arms, legs, feet, waist and the back of my neck, constant itching and now, little scars all over my body as well as the fact that even though I have left the camp ground, I am still finding the bedbugs in my travel backpack and cloths (that I have washed 3 times in attempts to rid them of the bugs). The complete lack of customer service and compassion at Tiber Village is appaling. In addition, the WIFI only works part of the time, the shuttle that takes you to and from the train station to get to Rome stops running at 11pm, so unless you want to take 3 different buses and walk 1.5km at night forget about experiencing Rome's night life. I hope that my experience was an isolated one but from what I have read online about bedbugs and the seemingly lack of caring, concern and attention (the matress that I had slept on in the first dorm where I was initially bitten remained in the room until another guest woke up in the middle of the night and found bedbugs crawling all over it, killed a few and brought them to the front desk) from the Tiber Village staff and owner, I highly doubt it. I would absolutely not reccomend staying at Tiber Village.

Liked: The pool is okay, the property is beautiful

Disliked: It is really far away and inconvenient to get to. if they extended their shuttle bus hours it would be much more acceptable. The shared dorms are really not secure as you don't have a door to your room. There is luggage storage, but the option for your own personal locker would be much better.

Liked: I liked staying there. Its a bit far from Rome center but the journey is not too bad. Showers and toilets were quite clean and one did not need to wait to get to shower.

Disliked: The room was not really a room, just a box with two beds, but for that price it was okay. :)

Liked: There's a pool, and the mobile huts cool down fast during the night, toilets and showers plentiful and clean, tasty takeaway pizzas from restaurant and free internet access in bar. Despite being far out of Rome the journey to the city was very easy with shuttle buses from the campsite to the nearby station every 30minutes.

Disliked: No kitchens and the on site store was quite expensive. A wise move to take midge repellent!
