Liked: Layout and space in the 8-bed dorm was good. Common room wasn't bad, and nice atmosphere throughout. Cool and very helpful staff.

Disliked: Showers and toilets could be quite disgusting, bring shower jandals!! I was just lucky my lock fitted the lockers properly, you have to bring your own. Have to pay for net, although it was pretty cheap.

Liked: It was close to Termini station and within walking distance to all the major attractions apart from the Vatican. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything and the rooms were huge with a table in the middle.

Liked: downtown is absolutely fantastic, would recommend to everyone, great location, right near termini station so you can always get home at anytime of the night, clean, friendly people and the staff have a great welcoming personality and more than happy to help out anyway they can. rooms had heaps of space and got a great nights sleep. i can not say a bad thing about this hostel

Liked: The staff was helpful and nice, the room was pretty comfortable and the location is convenient if you need to use the Termini Station a lot.

Disliked: The bathrooms are gross, the water and the power didn't actually work the second day, there's no actual breakfast (it's just bread and coffee).

Liked: the communal areas were nice and everyone was friendly.

Disliked: Location - although close to the station it is on a dodgy looking street and was uncomfortable to walk down late on an evening after a night out for example

Liked: Staff was amazing and made our experience above and beyond enjoyable, location was easy to find and close to train station which after a long trip was perfect.

Disliked: showers flooded occassionally but not a big deal for all the positive aspects to the hostel

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful, and the free dinners were definitely a bonus, although it didn't change much from day to day.

Disliked: The showers flooded and there are no mirrors in the room, so it was hard to get ready in the morning with a million girls in the bathroom. The bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Liked: good location, and have air condicionate, because Rome is very hot in the summer.

Disliked: the breakfast is non so good, and the bathroom was always durty, even in the morning early.

Liked: Location is good! And the pasta party has much fun and interaction. The whole building is undergoing renovation, i think it will get better and better!

Disliked: It is such a bad thing that on one night, the electricity shuts because of an accident in rome. Its not the problem of the hostel. But it will be good to provide some more spare lights and torches for the rooms if any! But i think the problem is just an accident.

Liked: Alessandro Downtown beschäftigt sehr nette Mitarbeiter, welche in der Lage sind, in sehr vielen Sprachen Auskunft zu geben. Die sind aufgeschlossen, hilfsbereit, zum Teil ein bisschen verrückt und sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und es ist auch in jedem Room eine eigene Klimaanlage vorhanden, sodass es dort nicht zu heiß wird im Sommer.

Disliked: Das Frühstück könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein, es besteht allerdings auch die Möglichkeit eigenes Essen im Kühlschrank frisch zu halten.

Liked: It's in a brilliant location, 3 or 4 mins walk from Termini, with very spacious rooms and your own locker right by your bed (bring your own padlock) and they serve you an evening meal (a small plate of pasta) and breakfast goes from 7-10 so you can lie in if you want and still get some food. Also, even though they were doing some building on some of the showers i only had to wait for them once or twice in my whole stay. staff were nice and helpful.

Disliked: There was some building works going on, but in fairness they started work late in the day and finished in the early afternoon so you weren't woken up by drills or anything. They have very annoying motion sensors in the showers which switch the lights off if you haven't moved for a while- some lights go off every 15 seconds or so and you have to wave your arms over the shower to get them back on- or open the shower door which meant they were flooded a lot, but there was a mop to clean up after ourselves.

Liked: Awesome, awesome staff! Everybody was super friendly and helpful. The layout and facilities really lent themselves to meeting your fellow hostelers. The free pasta in the evenings is awesome and can save you some money if you can remember to be there when it's served. Ha! The wireless internet worked well and consistently. Breakfast is nice if light, and the little coffee machine has a lot of options and it's pretty tasty. This place just rocks!

Disliked: We can't think of a single thing we didn't like about this hostel. Stay there!

Liked: Nice facilities, reasonable location close to the station made it fairly easy to get around.

Disliked: Lack of atmosphere generally - the twin hostel had more going on, and a bar!
