Liked: the female staff is really NICE

Disliked: the shower rooms and toilets are not very clean. If they are cleaned once an hour or three times a day, they would be much better.

Liked: The location was good, close to the train station termini. I arrived late at night and I did not have problems to find the place.Staff does not speak too mach italian but it was ok for me. I would suggest the place is not a palace but is ok to stay.

Disliked: did not speak Italian...actually they did but preferred English

Liked: almost everything is perfect. I really like this hostel :) and I think next time in Roma I'll definetely stay here again

Liked: Absolutely nothing

Disliked: If you are in Rome to have fun stay away A hostel that basically ruined our 3-day holidays in Rome. The rooms had no character and the bankets where of the worst quality. The staff were very impolite and not helpful at all. After we asked to take our money back and leave to find a better hostel we were told that that is not possible. We felt trapped. It is located in an ok part of the town certainly not the best. There are no bars around and the main monuments are 20 minutes walking distance. The wc in our room had a horrible smell and the only thing the staff did when we told them was to spray a disgusting neutralizer. The 1 hour free wifi access will not do you any good since its so slow at peak hours that you will want to start shouting. There is basically no chill out common room and it will not be an easy thing to meet new people if you are not super social.

Liked: Good location, very central, u can walk to all the great sites

Disliked: common rooms are a bit weak.

Liked: Our dorm room was huge which makes a nice change from so many other pokey hostels! The free breakfast was quite good and generally a good atmosphere.

Disliked: Having self-catering facilities would be a massive plus, they are there in the kitchen but are locked and unable to be used.. given the price of the hostel and Rome in general, it would have been really nice to be able to self cater a little more!

Liked: The staff are great & good location.

Disliked: Alot of mosquitoes bite you while youre sleeping! Make sure you have repellent. Showers arent great.

Liked: Very nice staff, good rooms, cleaned bathrooms, great tips about the city. I really liked my stay there.

Disliked: Only an hour of free internet. It´s few!!!!!

Liked: Staffs are very kind and fun. Location is good.

Disliked: Only 1 hour Free Wi-Fi. (and It's not working well) Rooms look like clean but some furniture was covered with dust.

Liked: I was very pleased by my stay at Alessandro Downtown. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff was extraordinarily helpful. The location in relation to Termini station was extremely convenient (less that 5 min walk).

Disliked: My only complaint would be in regards to the noise: the street noises and other guests were quite loud throughout one of the nights. The street noises were tolerable, but I was a little perturbed by the room next to mine, in which guests were talking and laughing very loudly until past 2 a.m.

Liked: Free breakfast, staff was friendly, close to Termini

Disliked: Our room looked out on the street and it was extremely loud at night. My top bunkbed shook everytime somebody walked through the room, the other people in the room were very rude, talked all night, walked in and out all the time.

Liked: I liked that the rooms are very clean, the location is very central and the staff is absolutely friendly.

Disliked: I did not like the breakfast very much but I did not expect anything better

Liked: Well sign posted outside and good directions. Really near to the main train station and less than 10 minute walk to The Colosseum and all the other attractions. Staff were really helpful and open 24 hours. Pizza nights were brilliant and had the common room buzzing (as a single traveller this was a brilliant way to meet people). Rooms were simple but just what you needed. Air-conditioned and comfy beds. The breakfast included was simple but just what you needed (coffee, juice, cereal and toast). Recommended!

Disliked: 1 hour free internet is good but not really enough. Even if they did 1 hour per night stay this would be better. Showers were hot and strong but there was no were to leave your stuff whilst washing so I had to take my clean, dry clothes and towel into the shower with me and just hope they didn't get too wet!?

Liked: really close to the train station and its cleanless, also really confortable. nice staying here!

Disliked: not to close to the touristic places but you can get a bus from the train station if you don´t want to walk

Liked: Close to everything. Staff was friendly. Clean!

Disliked: Nothing. Everything was great. One of the best hostels we stayed in on our trip.

Liked: It is very easy to arrive to the hostel from the Termini, just 4 blocks away. The doorms are big enough and the bed was really comfortable. On Mondays and Wednesday there's free pizza!

Disliked: Wi-fi not always working...

Liked: The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 8-bed dorm and it was BIG, lots of space. The showers were big too (a seperate area to keep you clothes and towles dry).

Disliked: The only improvement that could be made is to have individual lights per bed, as everyone is on different schedules, and turning on the main (only) light can be annoying for those wanting to sleep.

Liked: An excellent hostel, highly recommend! Definitely! Great location, clean, nice big rooms, Air con! Helpful staff.

Disliked: You needed your own lock for the lockers and mine was too small, so I bought one from the machine and it was also too small :( Also you get 2 hours free wifi then have to pay the rest but it's cheap 1 euro/hour.

Disliked: I did not like their check out policy , awfully early at 9 AM , never seen in my 23 years of travelling in 63 different countries , such a stupid check out time , specially if you went out the last night before , as many do .... please revise your check out times
