Liked: It was clean, safe and the staff was usually very helpful. The common room was usually full of people to talk with and share experiences. At night, it was very quiet, owing partly to the fact that the common area closes around midnight; at that point, the staff recommends a nearby park for those who would like to continue their conversations. For those who want to sleep early in order to get up for sightseeing, this is a blessing.

Disliked: The high occupancy rooms are crowded, but in our four nights there no one was disrespectful of the 9-11 other people trying to sleep. There is still a lack of privacy that may bother some who may want to opt for a lower occupancy room.

Liked: Nice open kitchen area with computers. Free internet use.

Disliked: They have bed bugs. I'm now covered in bites all over me. We stayed in the south america dorm so i don't know if this applies to all of the rooms or if i was just particularly unlucky. Staff were a little unfriendly...

Liked: Pretty straight-forward. Location was excellent- right by the Bologna metro station (which is only a few stops from the Termini) which made it easy to get just about anywhere.A coffee machine with 50 cent cappucinos made my day.

Disliked: They made me pay 2 euro to use a towel, but that's not so bad considering other hostels didn't even have towels.

Liked: Good hostel. I liked the free lockers in each room. The building itself is not in the greatest of conditions, but the staff works hard to ensure that the place is cleaned on a daily basis. Conveniently next to the metro and not far at all from the city center. Would stay again.

Disliked: Building was in need of a few repairs but nothing serious. The fridge was packed and the rooms got very hot since there was only a tiny window and no fans.

Liked: Its a fun place to meet people. The beds and the room are very clean and it is very close to Bologna metro stn.

Disliked: There are not many restaurants near the hostel

Liked: The guy who checked me in was really nice and helpful and the location is quite good-close to the metro!

Disliked: The toilet was not working properly,the stand above the sink was fallen off. My locker was broken. The A.C was broken.. not much to offer

Liked: very little. it was close to the metro, however.

Disliked: The guy at the front desk is very creepy. He kept walking up behind me and my friend and grabbing our faces or shoulders. Just didn't know how to respond, exactly. :P And he stared at us all the time. Also, my locker was full of someone's molding old clothes, and made all my things smell. And the bathroom floor was always sopping wet with some unidentified substance--from the shower, or toilet, I wasn't sure which..??? The common room was boring, and the kitchen amenities were almost all broken. Some of the oulets didn't work. There wasn't a/c. I mean, it's Rome, so what do you expect for 18euro a night, but we just really were not impressed - definitely would not recommend it to others.

Liked: quite a good place to stay, and well worth the cost, given hostels in rome are quite expensive. it is close to a metro station, supermarket is next door, close to atms, it's open 24 hours, there's a microwave and free wireless. the only thing missing is a free breakfast. the staff are quite friendly, the people staying here are quite decent. it is not a party hostel, so it might be boring for some people. i would recommend this place to others.

Liked: It was a comfortable and relaxing place to stay at. The guy who works the morning shift was always very nice and helpful. They advertise kitchen facilities, however, it was just a kettle and microwave. You are required to store all of your food in the common room area, but there is little space and the fridge is always full.

Liked: The only thing that I didn't like so much is that, although there is a locker, you have to leave the key in the reception... but I felt it safe!.. there is a small are to storage your groceries and make microwave food, and they not only have wi-fi for free, they also have fours computer that you can use for free to plan your trips at any time ;).. I think for the price it's very ok!

Liked: I liked that tea, coffee, hot water, use of the sink and fridge, internet, etc. were all included in the price. It was an easy place to reach by bus or metro, super central in Piazza Bologna, and the staff was helpful. It could be a difficult place to meet people, but I hung out in the common area until late with two nice kids, so you just have to eavesdrop and cut in when necessary. My biggest gripes would be that they turned off the lights and kicked us out of the common area around 12:30/1:00 ish... and I had a Spanish couple having sex in the bed next to me all night. That's not the fault of the hostel, just the bad taste and disgusting behavior of the guests. If that ever happens to anyone, tell the front desk so they can handle it, which I didn't do. All in all, it's an decent, affordable place to stay in Rome!
