Liked: We had free internet access and free breakfast, as well as a place to store our luggage.

Disliked: I would have preferred to have lockers in the hostel. Although my stuff was safe, it would have been nice to have a little more peace of mind.

Liked: It was placed in city centre.

Disliked: We couldn't pay by credit card. It was very unfortunately for us.The main reason we booked that hostel was credit payment possibility. Big disappointment. The rooms are in different street then reception and kitchen. When we booked the room it was advertised that there will be free dinner with wine every day. That was lie. The breakfast was very, very poor, served in other place (the same street). There were only cereals with milk or roll with jam available. Every single day the same things. The rooms are very small. I wouldn't recommended.

Liked: the fact that is near the termini

Disliked: kind of expensive for a hostel, no wi-fi in the rooms, breakfast wasn't good, furniture and stuff needs renewal

Liked: the hostels location is good. and enough for us for 2 days

Disliked: its not cleann , kitchen was like from the 1. century.. the water is cut off suddenly while people was in bath!!!!!!

Liked: Near Termini. Good breakfast. I was able to stash my luggage there after checkout.

Disliked: Room smelled on disinfection chemical. We had no private bathroom.

Liked: Free wifi and breakfast. Location near Termini, good for visiting the city center.

Disliked: Free pasta diner is a good idea but the pasta wasn't any good.

Liked: Great location, literally 10 min walk from the train station. Having breakfast & dinner included made this place exceptional in value (just don't expect gourmet food!). Staff were helpful when they could be.

Disliked: Bathroom wasn't very clean. Security wasn't the greatest; no lockers in the rooms (you could keep items at the front desk; but inconvenient if your room is in another building as mine was). Luggage room was outdoors in a shed that had no door (but a locked door to the alley that had the luggage shed).

Liked: Reading the description and reviews of the Hostel, my expectations matched the experience. This was a very good stay for my needs. I didn't eat at the Hostel, so I'm not sure what the breakfast and dinner experience was but the rooms, staff and location were as depicted.

Liked: Good location, walkable distance to most sights and very close to termini and the metro station. Also close to plenty of bars, restaurants, internet and laundromats. The free breakfast and dinner make for easy saving too.

Disliked: We were staying in another building opposite the building in which the reception is. There were only 3 dorm rooms with a shared bathroom and toilet, which were really filthy. The shower was really small and mouldy and there was this really bad sewerage small filling the whole bathroom. The kitchen was very dirty too, the few plates and cutlery there were were so disgusting, often put away dirty. Our internet in our room didnt work either.

Liked: Breakfast was perfectly satisfactory and the free pasta dinner and wine was awesome! Having both meals in a communal dining room was a great way to chat to other travelers. There was an atmosphere of honesty and staff were really helpful and gave great tourist info, were also relaxed and friendly. Clean rooms! :)

Disliked: Hot water could be a bit limited, but MOST of the time you're sure to get a hot shower.

Liked: Well located only a few mins walk from Termini. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Free breakfast and basic pasta dinner - useful when on a budget and also encourages interaction with other travellers. Wifi available downstairs. I needed to stay and extra few days and the staff were able to accomodate this.

Disliked: Cold showers!! If you do not wake up extremely early, hot water runs out quickly and ice cold water for the rest of the day. However there were 2 buildings. I was lucky enough to make friends with some of the guys in the other building who let me have a hot shower in their ensuite!! Also, they clean the room between 10-2pm or so. So unless you want to be woken up by loud banging noises get up and out early. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Liked: It was really close to termini station, there was a nice common area, staff provided maps of Rome.

Disliked: The "kitchen" was just a small stove and a fridge, no microwave or kettle and it was really really tiny. There was mould in the bathroom and the water wasnt very consistent.

Liked: they had a kitchen, which we found hard to find at a lot of other places.

Disliked: only one of the staff members was helpful, the others seemed really disinterested when you wanted to talk to the. we were in a different building to were the kitchen was. the internet didnt work in our building, so we had to go to the other building in another street, to use the internet and to cook our meals. also the breakfast wasnt even worth having on, cold tea, warm milk, and stale bread rolls. it was nice trying to offer free pasta and wine but both were pretty bad.

Liked: Cheap, excellent location, stuff speaks good english and is helpful, hot water all day long, clean beds, nice place to meet people.

Disliked: Not very tasty breakfast, there are no lockers to put stuff in rooms,

Liked: Great staff. The plentiful breakfast&dinner are uncommon at hostels, and were very welcome.

Disliked: Maybe the blankets could have been a bit cleaner, but on the other hand the sheets (and everything else) were very clean. Hard to find things to complain about... TV was working in both English and Italian, there was hot water, location was 5 minutes from the main bus/train station, complimentary bottle of (good) wine...

Disliked: Only two computers to access internet. I think every block/apartment should have its own computer. This will increase accessibility of the resources. The store needs to be renovated.

Liked: We've had a very pleasant stay at Freedom Traveller Hostel, the facilities of the hostel were honestly described on the website. The place is well located - 5-7 min far from Termini station ( and please note that there is the airport shuttle stoping right there, close to Termini, so you don't have to drag your luggage all over the city).Besides you can simply walk to many of the interest sites to visit. The area is safe, it's nice to walk around even at late hours. There is a supermarket 2 mins walk from the hostel so you can buy food and drinks from there. The staff of the hostel was so nice and friendly, they helped us with many useful information regarding the places we wanted to visit, or places where to eat. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable ( we had a double private room - ensuite). I liked the quiet backyard where I could spend time reading, smoking or drinking beer. Breakfast was simple, but quite ok. We really enjoyed staying here and we would definitely return to Freedom Traveller Hostel when visiting Rome again. Thanks again to the staff ( and mostly the guys dealing with the reception) for making us feeling at ease.

Liked: It was kind of easy to meet other travellers.

Disliked: They just take your money and don´t give you any chance to solve situations. It´s not a friendly enviroment from the hostel to the travellers.

Liked: it is close to the transtation, and internet is free - that is about it....sorry

Disliked: staff is kind of creepy. they make it clear that they are only there to make your money. they only let you buy their alchohol, they would only let me check in by holding my passport. Eventhough the ATM was a 2 minute walk which we had to do b/c they wouldn't take credit cards. The rooms were in a rather bad part of rome and they were very cheap with all of there utilities. I think it was the worst place i stayed at throughout my month in Europe.
