Really enjoyed my stay here. Had a good bar area, was easy to start talking to people. Location was ok. Very close to the main train station but a bit far from major sights. Good transport trom train station to explore the city though. Was able to book city tours thought the hostel which was good as didnt have to search out tourist offices etc. Would definately reccomend

For me there were three really bad aspects that have totally outwayed any good things aout the hostel. The six bedroom dorm is an oven and after complaining to four staff I got the feeling that none of them cared and that they were used to the complaint. Basically there are two fans in the room at the bottom bunk level. They do not swivel and they cannot be ajusted to benefit the poor mug on the top bunk. Fans do not work sufficiently when you have the airconditioning units from outside pumping all of their hot used air into the room. It is much coller outside. I had three cold showers during the night and was up at 6am to complain and was told that there was nothing they could do but to come back at 9.30. Another point is that the showers go from hot to freezing cold with no warning and then take ages in some cases to turn back to warm and finally it is an expensive exericse staying at a hostel with no kitchen. I would strongly suggest staying elsewhere as we have stayed at other hostels in Rome that provide much more for your money. ie a kitchen, a room the same temperature as outside or cooler, working showers an finally staff the give two hoots.

The free wi-fi is good, though is only available downstairs. The location is close to the train station, but not so close to attractions.

It's a 5 min walk from termini station- stayed in ensuite room- clean, good bunks, but room was stuffy & warm due to no air flow. Met some nice people there and recommend the bar/ cafe downstairs- good breakfasts and specials. Would return!

The Yellow is conveniently located near Termini Central Station in Rome. Other than that there is a Yellow Bar, in which you can hang out and meet other people. The hostel also has cabins under your bed. Bring a lock and you can protect your belonings. In the room we stayed in, it was not at all necessary, but I can imagine you would want to. You can have internet for free for half an hour each day (for which there are laptops available) and the reception is really cool with super friendly staff.

The Yellow is a good hostel - a very social place for travelers to meet other people. There is a bar attached to the hostel for drinks & snacks, and most people meet there in the evenings before the organized bar crawls start every night. They also serve breakfast in the morning for a fair price (4 Euro for 2 breakfast sandwiches & coffee/tea). The rooms were plain, but included the accomodations we needed: locked storage, a small desk & mirror, etc. The shower rooms weren't the nicest, but they did the job. The staff at the front desk all spoke VERY good english and were very helpful... and you can also rent out laptops for 30 minutes for free from the front desk, which was GREAT - the only problem was waiting in line for one!

1. The location is very closed to both Termini and Metro Station Line B. 2. It's a very great place of a good atmosphere to meet with new people. 3. Staffs there are nice and helpful enough.

yellow is the place to stay in Rome your 30sec walk from termini station. The staff are always up for a laugh and the pub crawl was a night to remember. It's also very easy to meet new people in the bar which makes the yellow the best place I ever been to.

i had a 6 bed ensuite and i thought it was a good size. i liked that there was a case under the bed you could lock your stuff away in. cleaners seemed to be iin every day and i liked the regular bar crawls. people moaned they could never get on the net and i guess this is a problem for some people but wasnt so much for me and there is a cafe down the road you could use if there are no laptops there. staff were cool, lift was a bit hit and miss and didnt work sometimes but wasnt that fussed about that. security good on a night as i was always in late and they wanted to see key and stuff so i liked that they didnt let anyone in. cool hostel. would def go back there
