Liked: This is a cool hostel right in front of Termini - the main metro station in Rome. It's literally a 15m walk to the door of the station, which is great because from there you can go anywhere, but not so great if your bed is located on that side of the building - the noise at night is really loud. However, that's not a big problem for me, in general. The staff was GREAT, really friendly and helpful, they offer breakfast somewhere close (although I haven't tried it), and 30min of free internet in two places close to the hostel. I thought the lockers were a little bit smaller than the average locker (it didn't fit the bad I usually bring with me to hostels), and neither the locker on the room nor the "safest" one, by the reception, fit my own lock - so I had to buy two locks from them. I don't think they do it on purpose, of course, but be advised to bring a lock that's not big, and that maybe you'll have to leave your luggage outside a locker in the room. Overall, however, I think the safety was great. The price was great, they don't have a curfew (you can go out and come back anytime you want), etc. Unfortunately for my first 2 nights there, people in my room were basically going there just to sleep, so I couldn't say it was a great place to meet people. I did meet two nice guys on my last night, however, so I guess it depends on how lucky you are. Overall I think this is a great place to stay, and I would recommend it to friends, and would definitely go back. Ah, and as I said, great staff!

Liked: many thanks to babylin for being so helpful and accommodating! will certainly recommend this place.. very near the termini station, and our room, although small, was eye-catching. we requested for an additional room when we checked in with a private bath, and babylin did her best to accommodate our request. also, the restaurants around are plenty. and they have discount cards to most of the eating places. it's a fun place!

Liked: Really close to the main train station. It makes things really easier in big citties like Rome. There are two tube lines that you can reach most of the turistics places. And you can be sure that wont get lost back to the hostel!

Liked: extremely close to Termini train/metro station which was handy for our train connection to firenze. bathrooms could have done with a bit more care in cleaning/de-odourising...some toilets don't work properly...staff extremely friendly and helpful. rooms are quite cramped but adequate. if you are in the rooms facing main street (via marsala) don't expect to get a good night's sleep!!

Liked: The staff at this place are absolutely amazing. I had some hangups with a friend that unexpectedly found herself with an overbooked hostel. The people at POPINN let me change my accommodations without a hitch and we're able to get her booked into the PopInn as well. The staff gave us a map and directions to all the cool places to see and things to do. Great atmosphere in the hostel lounge, great music and all. A little pricier than most hostels, but seems to be the norm for Italy. Definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling.

Liked: breakfast is just a croissant and coffee, we lost hot water for a day which was dissapointing and out room door was hard to lock, but a good location nezt to termini and pretty helpful staff.

Liked: The place is colourful. The staff is nice. It is open 24 hours a day and you can leave your bags in a safe place the last day of your stay. Besides, you have the breakfast included in a cheerful café next to the hostel.

Liked: The staff was fantastic and very helpful with getting us settled in to see Rome and Vatican city. The rooms were very clean, inviting, and spacious with lockers large enough to fit backpacks+. The free breakfast was also fantastic (especially because there was no time crunch because they just give you a voucher). The only downside was that the hot water ran out later in the evening after many had showered, but it was available again in the morning, so not a problem.

Liked: My partner and I were really impressed with the helpfulness of the staff; all of our questions about the city were answered and anything they didn't know a great deal of effort was made to find out. The free breakfast at a smart cafe close by was excellent and the free internet access was also good. Only downside was the shared bathroom for our room which had no hot water and was very tried looking, though the bedrooms were very clean and comfortable.

Liked: The staff were amazing, it was walking distance from most things and the nighty dinners were really social. It felt more like a share house than a normal hostel. I would definately stay there again!!!!

Liked: The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. We found out what to do, where to go and how to get there from the staff. The night life was good and the people who stayed there were great. Everyone was young and friendly and wanted to have a good time at the hostel and out in rome. I would definitely recommend POP INN for a large group of people or just a couple for a few nights!

Liked: The hostel is right NEXT to the Termini station which makes things alot easier. Free breakfast by the coupon system where you have to collect your 1 crossaint and 1 cup of coffee/tea/etc from a nearby restaurant. Also I recomend the pasta shop downstairs and left of the hostel entrance.
