Liked: Great hostel to stay: to have fun and rest. We loved the idea of free pizza in the evenings. Breakfast was OK too. All the building seems to be renovated recently - quality of rooms is very good, each room has it´s own bathroom, with hot water all the time.We totally recomend it!!!!

Liked: Place was easy to find and near the train station, free 30 mins internet a day is awesome. The staff was very friendly (perhaps even a little too friendly), but then they kept promoting the Not Just Rome tours which I think it's too pricey for a budget traveller (so obviously I didnt go for the tour). Breakfast was decent, so overall a pretty good place to stay in.

Liked: Stayed here for 5 nights, the hostel is really clean and secure and has a cool atmosphere. Breakfast is basic but good, the bar is a great place to meet people and drinks are pretty cheap for Rome prices - if you want the free pizza you have to be there at 8.30pm sharp as it goes quick. Location is great, less than 5 minute walk from Termini and some decent restaurants and supermarket nearby. Staff were all friendly and I recommend the walking tours as you learn a lot, have fun and and they're great value for money. Special mention for Esther behind reception who was a great guide and help during the stay, I will definitely return here when I return to Rome!

Liked: The hostel was OK: it was clean, our 8 bed dorm was spacious and it had separate bathroom what was really nice. The only disappointing thing was quite poor breakfast.

Liked: They have a weird key card system where you have to put your key card into a device every time you want to use electricity in your room. This may be fine, but my key card was stolen by someone staying in my room, and they staff there were going to charge me 10 euros for a new card. Stay away from this hostel, there are better ones in Rome

Liked: The free pizza was definitely a plus, and it was generally a good place to meet other people. The location wasn't the best since it's not that close to the major attractions, but it is near the (limited) metro stop. It would also be nice if the free WiFi were unlimited, but you only get 30 minutes each day.

Liked: Just your average youth hostel. If you are looking for a place to stay that is cheap and a little noisy, then go for it. Otherwise, keep looking... The breakfast was crap.

Liked: great hostel, had all the big football matches on tv at the bar, but they also turned off the commentary and put music on, so everyone could hang out there, not just the football fans. the pizza was good, while not a whole meal, was good if you are there at the time

Liked: I have appreciate the hotel (great Italian house), the bar (even if there are not a lots of choice for the breakfirst, is not so bad), the people there are kindly.

Liked: Hostel was great place to stay..neat,clean and safe . Breakfast was not so good..but I think this is with most of the hostels..Was very near to Termini.I would recommend this hostel to other people also. I found this hostel slightly expensive but may be I stayed there during peak seaon(Easter vacations). Overall , you will not regrett staying at this hostel. I would rate it 8.5/10

Liked: Very central position to all the sites in Rome. Just a short walk from the Termini Station which was very helpful! Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable, although the bathroom didn't really have much bench space, which made it hard to put stuff down when showering, but the shower was GREAT!! Hot water 24/7 and good pressure! Friendly helpful staff! I would recommend that you take your own towels, as they are not always available to purchase/rent.We stayed on level 4 and had quite a bit of luggage, there was no lift so we had to walk all our luggage up the stairs and back down again with, which was difficult, if you can pack lightly!Free pizza every night at 8.30pm, but if you want any you have to get there before 8.30pm and be waiting at the bar for it to come out!If you are getting sick of pizza and pasta you should try the Chinese restaurant, on the same street as the hostel towards the train station end. It was fantastic!

Liked: We had the weekend from hell with flights to and from Rome cancelled when we got to the boarding gate's. I've stayed in the "Alessandro Palace and Bar" before, and so knew the set up! It's very close to Termini and handy for the underground and bus tours. Via Nazionale is a short walk and there are a couple of Irish Bars some way down that road. The staff were very friendly, except when the attendant thought we were trying to get breakfast after 10.00am one morning. The breakfast isn't great but consists of cereal, a roll, jam and tea or coffee, but it is included in the overall price which is reasonable and compared very favourably to the little patisserie which charges 4 or 5 Euros per item (Breakfast for 2 cost 50 Euros). The rooms were clean but the bathroom did smell damp, overall it is a decent venue at a reasonable price.

Liked: Overall, I thought this hostel was pretty average. The location was great, and the bathrooms were clean but our sink was clogged the first night until they fixed it. The staff was helpful, and even helped me with a booking problem I encountered before coming. The breakfast is pretty measly- just a roll with butter and jam and cereal, and the free pizza at 8:30 was gone every night at 8:35- so make sure you are there on time! It's a nice place to stay, but I have no idea why they were voted one of the world's most famous hostels because I have stayed at much better!!
