Liked: Staff were helpful and friendly

Disliked: you get one bed sheet and you have to decide whether to put that over the dirty bed cover or under the dirty blanket.. I went with putting it over the bed because the cover looked like it had spots or stains on it. The pillow case looked unwashed also, with a black hair lying in the middle of it.

Liked: Rooms are nice, like a hotel. Location very good, near termini. Surrounding area full of restaurants. Very comfortable.

Disliked: the breakfast was TERRIBLE! Stone cold hard rock buns, coffee was tasteless, cereals cheap. Worst breakfast of my trip. Toilet tends to get flooded n very dirty, the rooms were not cleaned during the 2 days I stayed, had to notify the reception for replacement of toilet rolls!

Disliked: Only 30 minutes of internet Some parties are only promisse > e.g. pizza free To buy things in the bar you need consume at least 10 euros in Alexander coins ( 1 euro is 1 Alexander coin) Breakfeast is a horrible, the bread has thousands of years..

Liked: Staff was extremely helpful and the beds and bathroom facilities were comfortable and clean. All together a great first hostel experience!

Disliked: There was one night were the toilet paper ran out but that was just a coincident more than a problem.

Liked: Great great great location! Didn't really drink at the bar too much, but everyone seemed friendly and out going. The five minute walk to Termini was really valuable!

Liked: Awesome place, within a walking distance to the main attractions - eventhough you can take the metro if you don't like walking. Free pizza every night was a plus, specially for those travelling on the budget!!

Liked: Breakfast included. The location was great, I got off my train from napels and only had to lug my backpack 2 blocks. Very close! Also close to busses and metro, which are great for seeing the sites. Everything is walkable though.

Disliked: The staff told us there was free pizza, this was also advertised in their description. First night no pizza, the staff on duty said they didn't even know about it, second night you were lucky to get a slice. So don't count on it for dinner. Also at the time the lift was being replaced, so 4 long flights of starts were a bit much. I was also put in a room with 7 males and I was the only female. Not a very comfortable situation to put a lone female traveller in. I was just lucky the guys were freindly.

Liked: Alessandro had a pretty good location. You're able to walk to any of the main attractions. Free pizza and breakfast is a great move. (Be sure to get on the pizza as quick as you can, not around long). Drink prices weren't bad and its always nice having a bar on location, helps to meet people interested in doing the same stuff as you. 3 bed private was neat, with a decent ensuite.

Disliked: They were doing construction while we were there and it smelled heavily of lacquer in the hallway. Not the prettiest sight for a traveler just arriving in rome. Also had to hike up about four flights of stairs. (Hopefully, construction will be done soon and the elevator will be working). Staff wasnt the friendliest, or overly helpful. We had electrical problems in our room, and the repair man seemed somewhat put out when we had to ask him 3 separate times to come fix it (but what the heck!? the a/c and lights werent even working, what are we supposed to do???). He said he would return the next day to work on it, but did not. We had to kind of rig it ourselves. Also, you have to get tokens to pay for drinks. Dumb and kind of annoying...

Liked: friendliness of stafff

Disliked: no proper guest kitchen available to use. No towels were offered. Bunk beds were awkwardly placed and the breakfast was poor.

Liked: Great location, near Termini.

Disliked: Staff seemed like it was a hassle to help you and weren't interested at all. The rooms are EXTREMELY overpriced for what you get and the beds the most uncomfortable I've ever had in a hostel. The bar is a good way to meet people / hang out with people but there's a bit of a pointless token system to buy drinks.

Liked: Brilliant location - realyl is a 5 minute walk from the Termini station. The hostel itself has a great character: I love all the decorations and paintings.

Disliked: Lift not walking and there are lots of stairs!
