Liked: Clean, and a good base for the night,

Disliked: Hard to meet other travellers, hard to find, not near anything. Ideal if you are flying in from Ryainair and need a cheap place to stay for the night though before moving onto another place.

Liked: I stayed at this hostel because of it's proximity to Ciampino airport. Although, you must still take a taxi to the hostel if you arrive late at night. (Ask about the rate BEFORE getting into the taxi- I got ripped off)

Disliked: The man running the hostel made a mistake with my booking and thought the friend I was traveling with was also a female, he tried to charge us for this inconvenience. I refused and we got a private room. There were not many people staying at this hostel. It is very far from the center of Rome and pricey considering this. Breakfast was not filling and lousy. But it was a place to sleep for a night.

Liked: Nice atmosphere, and friendiness staff.

Disliked: Bus trouble, only arrive one bus route B1.

Liked: It was clean.

Disliked: Very difficult to reach. Walked 3km to get there because when the bus is not working there is no other option. Rooms were freezing cold and heater was not working so the room was the same temperature as outside, One thin blanket was given and one of the rules is you are not allowed to use your own bedding/sleeping bag. Breakfast was poor - only one pastry and cup of hot drink allowed.

Liked: Its very pretty - the grounds are almost like a little country manor. The rooms are nice and big, the beds are nice and the staff are nice. Its a good place to stay if you're tired of rome and need to get out for a night or two in the countryside.

Disliked: Its really far away from the station and very isolated - you HAVE to catch the 1B bus from the station to get here (would take over an hour to walk). Also, I'm here in october and there are lots of mosquitos - so I imagine its even worse in summer.

Liked: The room we got was spacious with an ensuite. It was very clean. It was a bit of a hike to the train station but the public transport was good and left and returned to the hostel. The only issue was if you returned at night too late, there is no bus service after 8pm and sparse on the taxi service at night too. It pays to take a taxi driver's business card for travel after 8pm and only cost 15 Euro at today's date.

Disliked: The distance from the train station and the transport service after 8pm. However it can be overcome. Perhaps it was the time of the year, but we didn't meet any other travellers staying at Ostello.

Liked: the sheeps that were near the hostel

Disliked: the location, the girl of the staff, who is a Ill-mannered person. Anybody knows english, only speak italian. and there were a lot of ants, and very bigs.

Liked: Big building in nice surroundings. Big rooms with good en-suite bathrooms. There is a restaurant and the meal I had there was nice.

Disliked: Real problem with mosquitoes in the whole place at the time I was there and was too hot to sleep as no fans or air conditioning. Is quite hard to get to. There are no kitchen facilities - only the on-site restaurant. If they advertise a free breakfast, then they should be fair about it and not just give you one croissant and a cup of coffee - especially when there are no kitchen facilities.

Liked: in a very quiet area of ciampino. to rome you need to take a bus & then the train (not the metro). spacious. good to get away from the city. staff is very very helpful. payments are cash only for the moment.

Liked: Es war sauber und das Personal war freundlich.Es wurde aber nur sehr sehr gebrochenes Englisch gesprochen. Das Italian-Breakfast war (auch für ein It.-Bf.) sehr sehr knapp!
