Liked: Holiday House Gilda offers excellent value for money. Upon booking a room for 2 (apartment Letizia) we found it was incredibly spacious with a big kitchen, and could have slept up to 7 people! The view was stunning, and the owners (Gilda and Giuseppe) were very helpful and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was more than ample and of excellent quality. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Disliked: The only slight inconvenience of this property is that it's a 15-minute walk into the centre of Positano. However, there's a regular bus service from just outside the gate, so it's really not a problem.

Liked: I woudl recommend this place if you want to relax outside of Positano. It's about 25 walk from the village, close to Alienzo beach. It fitted our need perfectly as we did not want to stay in very turistic and crowded Positano. Main pros: - staff: really friendly, nice and helpfull - location: if you don't want to stay in the cented there is no better place in this area - food: breakfast was perfect really fresh and tasty - view from the window is breathtaking

Disliked: place is not that new nevertheless it's very clean

Liked: This was a holiday like no other. I was absolutely blown away by the hospitality of Gilda, her husband Guiseppe and friends and daughters. It was like being part of a family and we were treated like so. It completely made our holiday and they were so kind with helping out with transport, and tips on where to eat etc. My friend was also travelling with a baby and Gilda was like a proud grandmother always holding and helping with the baby. It was incredibly overwhelming to have such amazing care and love from them. I was suprised to discover that Gilda and Guiseppe don't own the Holiday House, they work, cook and clean for the owner . I would strongly recommend tipping them on departure as they don't earn a salary. The ocean views from the bedrooms and balconey are simply breath taking and it was great to be out of the hustle and bustle of Positano. A little walk never killed anyone and it was great to try and walk off all the pasta and pizza that we were consuming!

Disliked: I didn't dislike anything, everything was amazing.

Liked: Hosts were very helpful and friendly - always willing to help out. Many long conversations! Breakfast was incredible - many different foods and drinks on offer. Service was fantastic. Beautiful balcony overlooking Positano and beaches. Very large apartment and very good facilities. Highly recommend!

Disliked: Only criticism is location - approx 2km away from main town of Positano however there is a beautiful beach only a short walk away which is highly recommended. My husband and I enjoy walking however so the location wasnt really an issue. There is also a bus very close to entrance of accommodation which takes you directly into the city.

Liked: If I could rate Holiday House Gilda higher I would but 5/5 is the best I could do. They truly make you feel part of the family, the breakfasts are the best we had in Italy and the views are to die for.

Liked: The helpful friendly family and friends who run this B&B are amazing. They cook the best breakfast in the whole of Italy.Food is a focus here and one night a group of fellow travellers were sitting around sharing a wine and fun when the staff produced a huge platter of nibbles for us.Nothing is too much trouble whether you want to know where to eat, what to see at a particular place or which bus to catch.Staff have a very good knowledge of the english language or at least are able to understand enough to always be of help. The best views on the Amalfi.

Disliked: We ate too much of their yummy food and then had to leave.

Liked: Amazing. Don't consider anywhere else. Here are just a few reasons why: We were treated like family from the first minute. Gilda offered us gratis wine and dolce on arrival (we were famished!). The apartments are incredible value for money. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We were given all advice/assistance we could ever have needed.

Disliked: Although we could fault nothing, if you don't enjoy a 1km walk to Positano, you may want to reconsider.

Liked: The hospitality was incredible. We arrived very late, after getting lost in our rental car, and we were greeted with hugs and smiles, food and drink. What a lovely and memorable experience for us to be treated so warmly upon our arrival, especially after a horrible drive from Roma. Then, in the morning, to wake up and see the most loveliest view of Positano from our apartment window. Spectacular!!!

Liked: Whilst not situated in the heart of Positano this was an advantage as you had the best view of Positano. Certainly walking distance to Positano and what a beautiful walk at that! The staff were a huge asset to this B & B. I celebrated a very special BIG birthday while staying and the staff baked a cake and surprised me at breakfast and a beautiful rose picked straight out of the garden. If you want an authentic Italian family experience this is the the place to stay. I loved every moment and fell in love with the place and the people. Breakfast is awesome and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience.

Liked: EVERYTHING !!! I feel that they are our 'Italian family'. The warmth of the family that runs the 'home' was outstanding.If we never are lucky enough to return there again , I would miss them FOREVER...Our view was the most gorgeous sight I've ever seen....A 'DO NOT MISS'!!!!

Liked: Our stay was first rate. The family are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful and welcoming. The accomodation was amazing with beautiful sea view terrace and well stocked kitchen (all the utensils you need).Breakfast was the best I have ever had in Italy.Would particularly recommend for couples and families.

Liked: This was possibly one of the nicest places I have EVER stayed! The view from our sunny apartment was stunning, the location just out of town was ideal, the breakfasts were delicious - but you just couldn't finish all the wonderful food! The very best part, though, were the hosts. Daniella and Rosa were so friendly and helpful, they made you feel a part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were absolutely delightful.

Liked: This Arienzo hostel has a stunning view overlooking Positano. It's family run and we had the warmest welcome from Rosa who, after showing us our huge apartment with a massive balcony, invited us to the terrace dining room where she made us the best coffee we'd had in Italy and warm croissants. Next morning we had the beach to ourselves which we much preferred to Positano (which is a picturesque walk away or bus). When you first arrive and are looking for directions, ask for Gilda's pronounced 'Jilda's' to avoid the puzzled looks. Breakfast is delicious, and local restaurants will pick you up and return you to the guesthouse. Apartments are equipped for self catering & have washing machines. You can check your emails in the office and in fact Gilda, Rosa and Guiseppe can't do enough for you. Would recommend it for a long, long stay.

Liked: We liked everything, lovely family run place, very helpful from the day we arrived, got picked up from Positano, they took us to do our shopping, lovely people.. Accommodation was amazing, excellent location and the view into Positano is breathtaking. Just go there..
