Liked: The Village Torre Pendente is just a 15 minute walk from the city center which is good because you don't need to pay for public transportation, and there is a big convenient store on the way to the hostel so you won't have to pay expensive ready to eat food stuff if you are traveling cheap. The place also has a fully furnished and fully equip kitchen which you can actually cook a meal if you want to cook your own food to save yourself a lot of money. I really recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable easy stay in Pisa.

Liked: We got a private room for 2 people even though it said 4 bed ensuite! It was clean and had a very nice shower. The walk to the tower isn't too bad, but the underpass that you have to cross is rather long and scary at night.

Liked: The chalet format of this hostel was great and I think this would be ideal if you wanted to self cater. I recommend making this a base for travelling to Cinque Terre, Florence etc. as Pisa is well served by train and this is better value than places in the other towns. Would also be good for families.

Liked: I really loved staying in one of the bungalows - it was quiet, clean, and comfy. (Didn't like staying in the Caravan so much - the shower had a bit of a sewer smell) Grocery store and internet room are right there at the camp ground. Only a 10-minute walk into town, and 5 minutes to the bus stop for the train station and the airport. The staff at the Reception were quite nice and helpful.

Liked: the hot showers lasted and lasted. so nice. also i'd bought a bottle of wine but had no opener so the lady in the store opened it for me. oh....i'd bought it at a DIFFERENT store. the thing i didn't like, though, was the sketchy tunnel you had to walk through to get to the hostel.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff and clean accommodation, also close to a big supermarket. On the down side It would have been good to have had matches there to light the gas stove and also washing up liquid. To have to buy these things when you only need to use a little is a bit of a drag. My passport was held by reception until I checked out - this was a major inconvenience when I tried to use cheap internet cafes in Pisa - I hadn't been told that ID is required (new law) and I had to then use the web services at the site - which was much more expensive! The main down side to this place is the tunnel you need to walk through to get to the campsite. It could be intimidating for some if you were alone and it was dark.
