Disliked: It was very dirty, the shower and the toilet were disgusting, towels and WC-papers and not included in the price...

Liked: It was well-situated, and right next to several bars if you like to go out.

Disliked: It's not necessarily a hostel like you would be used to in other countries. It's more of a converted hotel, the common room is not very inviting, and it's a bit dingy. Besides that some of the staff had a great difficulty speaking English, while others didn't.

Liked: The location is great (a bit far from the bus/train station, but Palermo is a big city). And it is right on a club/bar strip. The kitchen is big and well stocked, though no microwave. Free wifi in the lobby. Cheap drinks in the hostel.

Disliked: You MUST HAVE earplugs if you are going to stay here (I did, so I slept fine). Very, very loud until 3am. Your other option is to stay out until 3am every night... Toilets are pretty ordinary. No lockers in rooms.

Liked: Cheap, kitchen, on via dei Candelai (not too far from Stazione)

Disliked: noisy due to the bars downstairs and on the streets, cramped showers, no lockers in room

Liked: Nice central location. If you are into pubs and clubs, this is the place for you!

Disliked: Three out of the four staff members I met were friendly and helpful. The last of the four was very dismissive.

Liked: It's in the center of the city and has a beatiful terrace.

Disliked: Have a karaoke down the street, or near somewhere I dont know, and was impossible to sleep if you are not so tired.

Liked: Location close to the centre.

Disliked: It was VERY loud, as it is right above a street full of bars and clubs. Loud music until the early hours. If you don't think this will bother you, there's not much else wrong with it, although it is very plain and has no character. My room wasn't in great repair (sockets didn't work etc). There are MUCH nicer hostels in Palermo for the same price if you book ahead!

Liked: I like this property because of the cool terrace that have on the balcony and the great kitchen , 5 people can cook at the same time , there is loud music everynight but if you lie to go out than its not so bad just ask for a room that does not face the street , and you can also request a fan for the heat which helps

Disliked: The stairs, get ready to lug your stuff up a couple flights of stairs! but very common in any building in italy

Liked: Fan was great! Nice room for the price - stayed in a private double. Was some noise but not terrible and still slept well.

Disliked: This property was incredibly noisy at night as it was above a street full of bars. Upon arrival we were told that there was to be no breakfast provided. There is absolutely no hot water in the showers and the bathrooms are disgusting. This was not at all a nice place to stay.

Disliked: It was not clean enough... I didn't feel in secure and it was definitely too loudly... Until 4 - 5 p.m. there was always music, because hostel is located definitely among bars, and bars were playing very loudly!!!

Liked: Rooms were fairly cheap and quite close to the tourist attractions in Palermo.

Disliked: The room was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly (there was a used condom outside our bedroom window!) and the staff were not too helpful. The whole hotel needs some attention but it is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Liked: My room was reasonably comfortable, several of the staff seemed quite nice, some of the guests were very friendly, wifi was available for free (but only downstairs.)

Disliked: At 5am I was woken by a boy who was also staying in the same dorm masturbating and trying to wake me up by shining a light in my eyes, leaning on my bed and telling me to have sex with him. I managed to get away from him and out of the room but the man staffing the reception desk was totally unconcerned about it and suggested I sleep on the sofa in reception. He actually shrugged and raised his eyebrows and seemed surprised I was bothered by the whole situation. Eventually I demanded he come up to the room—there, he told the boy "please don't disturb this lady, she's sleeping" as though that were adequate. I raised enough of a ruckus to kick the guy out of the room myself, and then barricaded the door with furniture while I packed because the boy presumably still had a key to the room. I was in Palermo on my way somewhere else for work and didn't know anyone in town or anywhere else to go at five in the morning, or else I would've just left immediately. I just sat on my bed and waited for it to be daytime and other people to get up—meanwhile someone (presumably the boy) paced up and down in the corridor outside and knocked on my door serveral times. I realise the behaviour of guests can't be predicted by the hostel staff, but I really wish the staff would've shown a bit more sympathy to the plight of their guests once a situation like this arises.

Liked: Good kitchen, small but neat terrace and apart from the noise good central location. After 2 nights of no sleep I was given a quieter room where I basically slept for 2 days - missed out on seeing most of Palermo which was very disappointing.

Disliked: Noise factor - most normal people need to sleep. My room was directly above the club - how they can put anybody in there I don't know. Impossible to sleep. Bathrooms generally could do with an upgrade - some are so-so, others a bit grotty. Washing machine but no drying machine.
