Steve RondelliI definitely recommend this amazing place in the heart of ''Napuli'' (as they pronounce it here). Don't be afraid with the high rating, this is really a great place to stay. You'll get lots of informations about the town and the surroundings from the very helpful Giovanni himself and you'll probably like the character. I have to say that I wasn't expecting Naples to be such a beautiful city and with such a special atmosphere. If you have time, I'd recommend you to stay more than only two or three days to enjoy this marvellous city. |

Heather GlasgowIf you do one thing in Naples, go stay at Giovanni's! It's an experience in itself. He will tell you everything that you should do, and is so helpful with any questions. It's difficult to describe exactly what made this hostel my favourite, Giovanni just has a knack for bringing strangers together and making them feel like family. He is also a great musician, the singalongs were a highlight, and a fantastic cook! I would say that this isn't a "clubbing hostel,'' so don't stay if you want to stumble home drunk at 3 am. But there is always something fun happening, from drinking a few bottles of wine, hanging out on the balcony, the singalongs or impromptu cooking lessons. It's also right down the street from the Archeological Museum and a fantastic little coffee shop that won't charge you 4 Euros for coffee. Basically, Giovanni is the sweetest guy and you should definitely stay here! |

Lindsey GreenGiovanni is not just the hostel owner but he is a friend to all who stay here. The environment here is the most unique I have encountered in hostels all over the world. Such a family atmosphere and he takes the time to make sure you see the best parts of napoli and enjoy your evenings around the table eating one of his delicious dinners and drinking his wine, followed by guitar and game sessions. Stay here you will not regret it! |

Madeline JohnsonGiovanni's hostel is the most amazing hostel that I have ever stayed in and I wouldn't doubt that it is the best in the world!! The name is completely true, it is actually Giovanni's home and he does his best to make you feel like it is your home too. He cooked for us two out of the three nights, amazing meals that were both vegetarian friendly. Afterwards, the whole gang would sing songs to his guitar. Naples is a great city but it has a very bad reputation for crime, however I never felt unsafe at Giovanni's. He is so helpful and knows how to help you save some money too. He got us into Pompeii for one euro on Primo di Maggio. My experience in Naples was amazing and I know it wouldn't have been half as great if I had not stayed here. LOVE YOU GIOVANNI!!!! |
