Liked: we got to napels and we thought shit. 'this place sux. it dirty and we're probably gonna get mugged' but... once we got to the hostel Gio drew up a map of all the place to go and not to how to get to all the museums and small churches, Pompeii, cheap places for good food and wine and then every second night he cooks for the entire hostel. definitely recommend staying here best hostel Ive been to in Europe so far and I ve been travelling for 4 months now.

Liked: It was the best hoetel I've ever stayed in! Firstly, if you stay there you'll meet Mr.Giovanni who is exremely kind and fun, he will make you feel so happy to be in Naples. I stayed 3nights, but it was too short to see all the beautiful places, and visit some extraordinary stuff. The hostel itself doenst look like common hostel, it is a "real home" like the name of hostel is Giovanni's home. The rooms, living room, kitchen, and bathrooms are always clean, and well-equipped. I really enjoyed staying there, and met assum people from everywhere! We could arrange a day trip to Capri by ourselves, it was a magnific. And almost every evening, all people at hostel had a lovely time together, talked a lot, had a dinner together, and even sang some songs(includes Italian songs!!) and it was like magical time to be a friend with many other strangers. We were laghing, and drinking wine together. Such a nice memory! I felt really safe, and warm in there.and all the informations Mr.Giovanni gave me were extremly helpful, so I could enjoy my limited time in Naples, Pompei, and Capri! I strongly recommend that you should stay there when you are in Naples!

Liked: I love Giovanni- honestly. The best place for your money and your time and everything- he is so kind and accommodating- even when you have to rebook because your flight is canceled- twice. Singing in Italian, a true love and expansive knowledge about the city and surrounding area. I will come back and stay here again and visit Naples SOLELY because of the amazing experience I have had here- it feels like home. Giovanni really made Naples come alive for me- I didn't even think I'd like the city, but I LOVE IT. Grazie mille, Giovanni!

Liked: I absolutely loved staying at Giovanni's place in the heart of Naples! I knew I was going to a hostel that had received a very high rating from previous travellers but I had no idea it would be quite as awesome as it was.It was a small place, like home, in the buzzing historic centre of Naples. We were quite few staying in the hostel, so we got to know each other quite easily and did loads of the sight seeing together. Giovanni was very helpful and gave me much information and tips when I arrived (after a delicious glass of cold water that was offered when I stumbled through the door all gross and sweaty). During all the evenings I stayed at Giovanni's, he cooked every night exept for one (even then we got to taste some pizza). We also got to hear him play the guitar and sing Napolian songs, with us taking hand of the chorus! He is quite like a father figure, he seemed to generally care about us and our safety, and I even received messages asking whether I was coming for dinner or not <3 A very original and sweet guy with whom I got along great! The apartment itself was clean and had all the necessary facilities. So, all this for only 13 euros/night? How is that even possible?

Liked: Este hostel mas que un hostel es una casa, donde su dueño (Giovanni) te recibe con las mejores ganas. Podes comer la autentica pasta cocinada por el propio Giovanni. La informacion turistica que te propinan es muy util. El mejor hostel al que fui!

Liked: This was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at, all the people were very nice and due it its small size, everything felt just like a big apartment, and all the other travelers felt like a big family- especially when we sat down to eat pasta made by the owner. The experience was very refreshing if you have ever been to large, impersonal hostels.

Liked: MOLTO BENE! The best part about this place is Giovanni himself who right from the beginning does everything he can to make you feel safe and at home. He was very understanding when we had problems and he sat down with us and explained to us how he sees the beautiful city of Napoli "not just pizza and Mafia like the guidebooks". Exploring the maze of streets following his itinerary I also fell in love with Napoli, which felt so much more -real- than the others I have been to in the north and has an amazing amount of history scattered in its very centre and I didn't once feel threatened or unsafe. If you stay for a few nights you will probably be lucky enough to sample one of Giovanni's dinners, which are as scrumptious as they are fun. I will always remember NY eve in Napoli with the delicious three course dinner, being serenaded with guitars and sharing different countries' NYE customs while the fireworks went off like WW3 in the background. I heartily recommend that you come to visit Napoli and Giovanni, and if I am lucky enough to return to Napoli I will stay here!

Liked: Giavonni is like a mother to his guests. He feeds them, keeps them safe and gives them the history of Naples. Towels would have been nice, but that is the only complete. It looks a little sketchy when you arrive, but the first 5 minutes with Giovanni and you know that you are welcome and cared for. And he plays the guitar and gets everyone to sing. While there we met people from China, Korea, Brazil, and the US. It is a little UN in Naples.

Liked: STAY HERE!! Giovanni is the best host. I was there 5 nights and he fed us homemade pasta 3 of the nights. (He's also too willing to whip out the guitar and sing It's a Wonderful World. :)) He loves Naples and shares that with the backpackers. The stairs are steep, but the hostel is close to the train station and, as Giovanni points out on a map, close to most tourist sites. Thanks, Giovanni, for making Naples memorable. I plan on coming back!

Liked: I definitely recommend this amazing place in the heart of ''Napuli'' (as they pronounce it here). Don't be afraid with the high rating, this is really a great place to stay. You'll get lots of informations about the town and the surroundings from the very helpful Giovanni himself and you'll probably like the character. I have to say that I wasn't expecting Naples to be such a beautiful city and with such a special atmosphere. If you have time, I'd recommend you to stay more than only two or three days to enjoy this marvellous city.

Liked: If you do one thing in Naples, go stay at Giovanni's! It's an experience in itself. He will tell you everything that you should do, and is so helpful with any questions. It's difficult to describe exactly what made this hostel my favourite, Giovanni just has a knack for bringing strangers together and making them feel like family. He is also a great musician, the singalongs were a highlight, and a fantastic cook! I would say that this isn't a "clubbing hostel,'' so don't stay if you want to stumble home drunk at 3 am. But there is always something fun happening, from drinking a few bottles of wine, hanging out on the balcony, the singalongs or impromptu cooking lessons. It's also right down the street from the Archeological Museum and a fantastic little coffee shop that won't charge you 4 Euros for coffee. Basically, Giovanni is the sweetest guy and you should definitely stay here!
