Liked: The atmosphere is amazing! The staff is more than awesome! The location is very central and the accommodations were clean, comfy, safe and secure (there are lockers in the rooms). The kitchen was complete, and the entire place was brightly coloured and lively. Also, Jenny, the owner, served breakfast every morning. Easily the best hostel I've been to in Europe so far. We were a bit worried about being in Naples, but we found we liked it much more than Rome!

Disliked: If you are allergic to cats or dogs, you may want to reconsider. There is a cat that lives in the hostel and Jenny owns 2 dogs that are there during the day with her and go home with her in the evening. Very nice animals and for me, made it feel more like home!

Liked: Breakfast is included in the price, as well as free Internet. The walls of the hostel are filled with bright and arty paint works.

Disliked: the room we stayed in was rather dirty and unpleasant. The water in the shower does not flow down the drain and the whole room stinks becos of the stagnant water in the bathroom. The floor in the room was also very dirty, as if it hasn't been wiped for a very long time. There is no lift in the building, so we had to lug our stuff up 3 floors. The mirror and sink in the room seems like it was going to fall apart and we had to be really careful when using the sink as well lest it comes crashing on our feet.

Liked: The staff is friendly and helpful, yet easygoing. They manage to create a wonderful atmosphere in the hostel - all the travelers talk with each other over the big kitchen table, share food (and wine - thanks Adrienne!), insights about their home countries, and travel tips. All ages hostel - anyone would feel welcome. The midnight quiet time is enforced, which is great because one dorm room is right off the kitchen. I was able to sleep very well, helped by the sweet tabby cat, Simon. He has the run of the place, and if you're a cat person and very lucky, he might choose to sleep with you! Also - a thoughtful, included breakfast is served with fresh bread, spreads, fresh fruit, coffee and teas. The staff is always there cleaning and ready to help you with anything, but they are not at all overbearing. Can you tell I liked this place? Just go . . . .

Disliked: Some commenters have mentioned the three bathrooms are a bit low for the number of guests. I never had to wait more than a few minutes, but might recommend they reserve the center bathroom for 'no showers' in the AM so guests would always be able to make a quick trip to the loo when needed. Otherwise, every need has been thought of and provided.

Liked: Lovely hostel, felt like home. The staff are very friendly, kitchen is great and the the location is very central.

Disliked: The shower! Went from freezing to boiling every couple of seconds.

Liked: The kitchen! Never used it but only one I had while staying in Italy. Nice fast Mac computer, nice common space.

Disliked: Great place to meet other backpackers, the resident cat. Friendly staff. direction on website aren't accurate bc Dante statue is being renovated so you don't know which way he is pointing.

Liked: backpackers are friendly, kitchen had most utensils needed to cook, computer for using the internet and wifi included.

Disliked: The dirty showers that smelt of acetic acid (vinegar), the pod was packed with mould and showed lack of maintenance, the private room was large however seemed to be a very neglected room as if noone has lived there for months, very dirty floor with cracks in the chalk between the tiles which housed alot of dirt. Was hot during our stay and opening the windows was not enough and so had to turn on the electric fan which was loud. Took a long time to find this hostel and directions were misleading and hostel staff admitted fault on their behalf for not updating their directions whilst the monument was under maintenance (not convenient when rushing through dark run down vandalised streets of naples). Overall felt money payed did not reflect what we got in return.

Liked: 6 Small Rooms is an excellent hostel to stay in, the staff are very helpful and are eager to help you whatever your problem is. Very clean as well and it has a nice homely feel to it. Big plus is the free Apple computer that can be used at any time for the internet etc. Also the pets there are great!

Disliked: It was very hot when we arrived and air con would have been useful but the fans that they have just about did the job.

Liked: The staff wee really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The kitchen and showers were good and the lockers were really useful.

Disliked: There were a lot of stairs to get up which was fine with our backpacks but would be a bit of a struggle if your the type of traveller who has huge suitcases.

Liked: Very welcoming staff. Rachel from NZ is amazing. After checking out and catching a night train they allowed me to stay for the day and shower in the evening. Rooms are nice and spacious, not small at all!

Disliked: Lots of stairs, but really no biggie at all. Good bit of exercise.

Liked: Great admosphere! So comfortable. Can imagine people stay here much longer than planned! Friendly staff. Close to nice, busy market and right in the city centre.

Disliked: The ally leading to the hostel can get a bit quiet during (sunday)lunch and at night.

Liked: Absolutely perfect place to stay in Naples. A slight misnomer though, as the rooms are quite big! The kitchen and common areas are more than adequate.

Disliked: Only drawback for some would be the early common room shutdown, around midnight.

Liked: This place has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. They also have a good selection of DVD's that you can watch if you feel like having a night in! Simon the cat is also very cute!

Disliked: The shower head need replacing.

Liked: The property is close to Dante station and right in the center of old town Naples. The staff was warm, helpful, and welcoming. a grocery outing and group cooking was offered with a peppy Italian lady for 15 euro. The lounge was awesome and had a tv, movies, and two guitars. There is a computer too. Guests were polite, and the big kitchen table in the nicely equipped kitchen allowed for a nice free breakfast and fun dinner with wine.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: Great mix of travellers in spacious doms. Got amazing suggestions from staff which made our visit to Napoli so much better. Close to great pizza place and cheap!!

Liked: It was a very quaint, comfortable place to stay. The beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and the staff is friendly. The location is pretty good as well-- the metro is nearby and Napoli is very easy to navigate using public transportation.

Disliked: Without using public transportation it is difficult to get to most places-- definitely not a location for those who prefer to walk.
