Liked: It's fun and friendly and busy. The staff was so nice right from the very beginning, really wanting to make sure you had a great time. You can't not make friends there, everyone just feeds off the great vibe of the place.

Disliked: The only thing that was remotely negative was that the common areas close at midnight because the hostel's in an apartment building and they don't want to disturb the neighbours, but it didn't matter for us because we went out after that.

Liked: The staff were very friendly for example we had to leave early for a flight and although breakfast wasn't meant to start for another hour the man working that shift offered it to us readily! The two women when we arrived were also very friendly and every time they saw you they would say "hi" and gave us a map detailing walks we might like to take and where to eat the best pizza! There was free wifi but also 2 computers to use. There was a nice area for people to chill out together in, with a T.V and a large selection of DVDs but also a bar area with very well priced cocktails.

Disliked: The area seems a little strange but is at least safe as it seemed to be in the business district of Naples

Liked: staff r fantastic, clean, wonderful free breakfast, nice pub, well, everything is wonderful. if u want to go to Capri, its the best place to stay, quite close to the ferry, which could take u there. wonderful!!!

Disliked: well, some special strange thing happened on me, a plastic bag of mine disppeared, my shampoo and tooth brush...... I know there is something which hostel cant control, anyway, even like this, I still strongly recommend this hostel.

Liked: Extremely helpful and friendly staff who helped us find the nicest attractions and food in Napoli. Huge common area with satellite TV, and happy hour every night. Really fun and exciting place to stay in Napoli. You just HAVE to stay here!

Liked: Really clean. The staff did everything they could to help us out. One member of our group wore a prosthetic brace that broke and they got ahold of a handy man on a Saturday night to get it fixed. The staff went over and above to help, assist and make our stay as pleasant as possible. It was an incredible place to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Liked: male staff is very kind and active, cheerful....but sleep makes him unkind;;; breakfast is good~

Disliked: It's so far from station. and There are few Asian people .. So I'm little lonely~

Liked: Location is very convenient, a short walk to bus to airport, buses to the Amafi coast and Pompei. Garibaldi train station is about 15-20 min walk, with an easy bus ride as an alternative. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was plentiful but average, although coffee was above the normal hostel standard. Rooms were clean, maitress comfy and quiet (2nd floor rooms). Free internet, although busy at times. The bar was ok, with 2 euro peroni wich is always a nice treat after a busy day exploring Naples

Disliked: Only three toilets in second floor which were occasionally busy, but clean most of the times. Weird smell in the whole flat though.

Liked: The staff there, were amazingly helpful and the breakfast was a lovely surprise.

Disliked: Very cold in our room, and the heater was asmatic to say the least. The double bed advertised, was actuallly two singles stuck together, which was not practical for a couple.

Liked: Hostel of the Sun is without a doubt the best Hostel I have ever stayed in...it just can't be beaten for atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable, funny, entertaining...within three hours it feels like you're a part of a very big, loud, sweary Italian family. Staying at Hostel of the Sun and exploring Naples and the beautiful Amalfi Coast (including Pompeii, Capri, Ischia, Mount Vesuvius) is probably the best holiday experience I have yet had...cant recommend it highly enough.

Disliked: If I was to be REALLY pedantic, I might say that the bathrooms could do with being cleaned a little bit more often (to be fair, they are cleaned at least daily, but with so many people going in and out, the bathrooms can be a little grim first thing in the morning before the cleaning staff has got to them). And the 'Midnight Lights-out and Quiet' rule can be a bit of a pain...midnight feels so early, and if you want to carry on chatting, drinking etc with your new-found friends you HAVE to go out (and then stumble around in the darkness trying to find your bed and locker when you get back). But I'm sure people that want to get a decent nights sleep are very grateful for that rule.

Liked: This was the second time I stayed at Hostel of the Sun and I am absolutely in love with it. The people are amazing, the space is great, the facilities are excellent and it's within walking distance of just about every main sight in Naples. You're even directly across the street from the port (for those taking the ferry) and buses to Vesuvius and Pompeii. I stayed at a couple different hotels during this last trip to Naples (to be closer to the train station for late night arrivals / early morning departures) and was not nearly as happy there as I would have been at HOTS. I can't wait to go back!

Disliked: There's isn't much to dislike. Bring 5 cents when you arrive to pay for the lift fee (weekdays) or you'll have to carry your bags up 5 flights. Not the worst thing in the world but it will be a relief.

Liked: Friendly staff and residents. A good atmosphere created by a young italian owner and his English girlfriend, not forgetting the rest of the staff who are very helpful and have all the answers to your questions. Sky T.V creates good banter and enjoyment between all the guests in the common room. A good breakfast is served every morning to get you ready for the day of sight seeing.

Disliked: The Hostel is on 7th floor of an office/apartment block. There is a lift for 5cent in peak times.
