Liked: Great hostel with a great vibe, really friendly staff that will make you feel at home! They know loads about naples and will really help you out here. Just a cosy place with a kitchen also, and a nice common room

Disliked: - bit small, but it makes it cosy - bit hard to find for the first time BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS IN NAPLES: there are a huge ammount of these guys lurking around. Especially near the main train station. Chances are, someone will attempt to steal your bag. Look out! Its not so bad if you are careful, but this is by far the most pickpockety city I've been to. Barcelona is pretty bad too but naples is worse. PIZZA ALERT: you have to go to Di Matteo's ... It has the best pizza i have ever had in my entire life. I still crave it everyday and the reason why id return to naples is for the pizza mainly:) ! Great city with loads of character. The people at this hostel will recommend the pizza place to you. FAMOUS HOSTEL ALERT: this is one of naples best hostels, not because it is incredibly rich and shique... No... it is because it has a very good vibe. It was chosen by Famous Hostels as their hostel of choice in Naples. They tend to have good taste!

Liked: The day staff were really friendly and helpful, had a decent common area and kitchen etc.

Disliked: At midnight you have to either go to bed or go out, unless you're friends with the night staff, in which case feel free to sit around talking loudly and laughing til 3am.

Liked: Great staff, right next to the dock and easy to get to other places. Kayaking trip was the highlight!

Liked: Superb hostel. It's located in one of the safest parts of Naples (which is important because it can be quite a rough city). It's also convenient, near the port so day trips are easy. The nicest bathrooms of any hostel I've ever been in.

Disliked: The quality of the bathrooms can be a slight disadvantage because guests take ages enjoying the showers. One extra bathroom would make this place perfect.

Liked: the staff were lovely and super helpful. the hostel was close to everything. the showers were nice and easy to use. it was clean. there was free breakfast every morning and it was cheap!!!will def return when I'm back in napoli one day

Liked: Its in a fantastic central location with great staff who are helpful & friendly

Disliked: It was incredibly noisy so very little sleep was had - other guests were far too inconsiderate late at night!

Liked: Carla and the rest of the staff where fantastic. They where authentic and a little cheeky, which made the whole atmosphere fun. The lockers where good size, the beds where fine and the aircon was a relief. Nice common area, and bathrooms

Liked: The girls at the reception are very professional and extremely friendly. The breakfast is excellent. 100% recommended!!

Disliked: Funny I had to pay 5 cents euro every time I used the elevator, as it works after you insert a coin. But the receptionists helped me with the coins :-)

Liked: Very cheap and extremely friendly staff. Breakfast was OK. They have laundry too - the staff will do it for you; all you have to do is give them the bag. Very close to the port so it's easy to take the ferry to Capri or Ischia.

Disliked: Not much.

Liked: Atmosphere is sooooo fun!!!!! Great location and everyone was soooo helpful. We took a tour through the hostel and it was AMAZING!

Disliked: Public transportation is a little confusing at first but that has nothing to do w/the hostel

Liked: Super clean, close to ferry and bus, train etc

Disliked: a little loud when other travelers come back late with the large door to the main room area. Its a heavy door that slams back.

Liked: The breakfast was the best breakfast I ever had at a hostel.

Disliked: The office is on the 7th floor and you are requested to pay each time you take the elevator up, I haven't ever heard or seen anything like this! (O_o)

Liked: We had a change of plans so we needed to cancel the first night of our stay. The staff at Hostel of the Sun emailed us back straight away and we had no problems altering our booking. The staff was also extremely helpful pointing out local shops, explaining how to get from A to B, and the free breakfast was great.

Disliked: The screens in the room we stayed in had a few holes, so overnight a few mosquitos found their way to our beds.

Liked: Great place to meet people, good location to get to all the best things about Naples, lots of great breakfast choices, staff was friendly and helpful, everything was clean and there was so much stuff to do inside the hostel where you didn't have to pay a lot of money and you had a great time. Overall a great place and a good value for the money you pay.

Disliked: Naples is not safe at night, even around the hostel. My friends and I stumbled into a brothel which was around the corner from the hostel. Be aware that most of the activities offered at the hotel end late at night. I'm a solo traveler and I'm a young girl so this was an issue for me because I didn't want to be outside of the hostel late at night by myself.

Liked: The directions from the train station were logical and we found it fairly easily. The staff is friendly and helpfully (particularly Robyn, who's the best!) The hostel has a good (albeit, small) common area to hang out in and meet people, and good drink prices at the bar. The beds were comfortable and the place was well-kept. Breakfast was decent. They let my friend and I share a bed for the price of one when we were found in a pinch after missing our train that night, which was really cool of them!

Disliked: The Capri boat tour they advertise is definitely not worth the money. While the staff are super friendly, they're not super efficient and we waited for quite a while to even be checked in as the the desk staff chatted away with the people in front of us. In all fairness, though, we received the same attention when our turn came.

Liked: Perfect location and atmosphere of hostel, really nice guys on reception, bar in the hostel. You can leave luggage in a hostel after check out.

Disliked: You have to prepare 5 cents for elevator (I never had it, so I had to carry luggage up to 7th floor using stairs).
