Liked: I was not happy that a guy in reception came into our room many time and ( it was 4 b dom ) without knock and watch inside the room every time he goes thru infront of our room. no manner

Liked: This hostel was very close to the train station so a good location. The staff give you good information and make sure you are safe to go out. They do not have lockers in all the rooms though. Breakfast isnt very good.

Liked: Hostel Pensione Mancini is perfectly located for those who will be traveling by train. Outside is the marketplace which is a haven for pickpockets and can be really loud early in the morning. The hostel itself is clean and provides the basic necessities for lodging in a safe, secure environment. They provide you with a map and where to get some of the best pizza in Naples. I only stayed one night and left early in the morning so I was not able to have the breakfast provided. Overall it is a great place to stay while visiting Naples or visiting the area around it. Would recommend to travelers.

Liked: Really nice hostel. Concidering the price it is probably the best hostel in Naples. The location is great. Just a few hundred meters from the railway station.

Liked: The staff of the hostel is extremely nice and helpful. He can give you valuable advice. Besides, the hostel is located very near to the station and surrounded by shops, supermarket and restaurants so it is very convenient to travellers.

Liked: The hostel is very close from the train station, however the neighborhood is not nice (nor safe at night - although I've felt safe in the hostel)Installations are old, but ok. The staff was very nice.

Liked: Its a little daunting trying to find the place at first but I think that's just Naples. We stayed two nights, but sadly only spent half day seeing Naples. Its a good base to do Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. Def spend a bit more time seeing Naples than we did. The hostel is fine. Showers are a plenty and although moldy, you get by without touching the walls too much... Rooms are a little tight and the ones at the front are pretty noisy due to the market below but its interesting watching the whole process each day. Good kitchen facilities and great pizza less than 5min walk.

Liked: It felt very safe because every person is given a locker. Additionally, the staff were very helpful in providing us with directions on where to go for other places of interest. The area which the hostel is in is not quite safe though, and it may be a shock upon arriving at Napels.

Liked: Lovely hostel very nice set-up, however the location is horrible! We were expecting it to be in a bad area but that did not prepare us for what we found! The hostel is located on a market street so in the morning it is very crowded (a haven for pickpockets) and in the evening is covered in rubbish taller than me. We were told by the staff in the hostel not to go out after dark as it is too dangerous, and not to carry bags with us at all, or passports/camera/money. They repeated this information to us everytime we left the hostel (day and night) which caused us to become very nervous. We didn't experience any crime ourselves, and thought that although they were giving us useful information it was delivered a little strongly. The location is great for the station, but i wouldn't visit or stay in Naples again as Sorrento is close enough to commute from for all the sight-seeing you'd need, e.g Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples itself!

Liked: The shower was very moldy which turned me off immediately, and there is a daily market in front of the market and the noisy set up starts very early.

Liked: It was in a sketchy neighborhood. Very loud outside at night which made it difficult to sleep. It was difficult to find the hostel because every day there is a market in front of the hostel which makes a lot of noise and brings sketchy people nearby. NOT SAFE AT NIGHT

Liked: The kitchen area and free wifi are a good bonus at this place. our room was clean and comfortable, although a little run down. the bathrooms were clean and had hot water each morning. the breakfast was simple, but generous and tasty. the lonely planet book says this place has 24/7 coffee, tea and hot chocolate, but this is no longer avaliable. the area is quite dodgy, but the staff give good advice on how to stay safe, and once inside, the hostel itself is safe and secure.

Liked: Staff were incredibly nice. They were always always pleasent even to people who were tired and gruff. Really good value for money considering the area. A little difficult to meet people as there is no common area. Could meet people at breakfast though. The bar they suggest is good value and the barmen will generally give you free internet access if you eat there (however there is only one lap top for everyone). Sound travels though hostel so bring ear plugs even if staying in a single/double. Laundry very expensive. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Lovely small community vibe.
