Customer reviewThe staff were the most helpful that I had met in a long time. The building itself is not in the best state but the staff made the difference. Some good bars there as well. |

Customer reviewBasic hostel, seemed a little disorgenised, we were asked to change rooms halfway though our stay. Were given a key for the front door, but the individual rooms don't have locks on the doors. There is a microwave, but no kitchen facilities as such. Sara was very helpful and friendly. Very clean, good showers. 20 minute walk from the centre. Basically you get what you pay for. |

Giselle Saffignathe staff were friendly and free internet was good. I didnt enjoy the smoking inside although i think it stopped once i got there... There was no kitchen or even sink... and no alcohol allowed a definate downer if you're a backpacker wanting to meet people. |

Customer reviewThe lady who works at Mister B. is really lovely and very helpful!! Very easy to get to the main attractions and supermkt around the cnr. The only major drawback is the security. The lockers provided did not have locks and were much to small to fit your bags. The front door was rairly locked, and in some cases left wide open with no one about. Milan is seriously lacking hostel accomodation, so I think this place is while extremely basic, probably as good as it gets at the moment. |

Customer reviewThe staff was so great and friendly. Sara (the owner of the place) did everything for us. This is a quite small hostel so you get to know new people easily; everyone was nice to each other. It's located near by the centre. The only minus was that there was only one bathroom (one shower and toilet at the same room), so as you can imagine, nice lines especially in mornings. |

Customer reviewI did not get very good service when I checked in. I walked into what looked like an apartment in the middle of doing renovations and had to wait at least 20 minutes to get checked-in which had to be done in the upstairs hotel - a bit disappointing. It was more a place to stay than a real hostel. Place was very cold during the night and got rudely awaken by noisy roommates next door coming in really late. THe place didn't seem very secure as the front door appeared to be always unlocked. But on the positive, internet access was good and accessible, and the owner was considerate enough to provide us with a packed breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning to catch an early flight. No real personal service but decent enough place to stay for a few nights if you don't mind travelling into the city centre. |

Belinda RuthI stayed there for 1 night with a companion. Misterbeem hostel is in a very nice neighbourhood in Milan. It is easy to find with their directions however not as close to the centre as the description says, it is about 15mins by a bus and the stop is close by. There are however a lot of cafes and restaurants around the hostel. Misterbeem itself seems like a fairly family place yet a little disorganised. While we were there it seemed the beds hadn't been exactly arranged as booked. As a bonus we booked to sleep in the 6bed dorm however it only had room for 5. It is not so lively, however there is a small living area with free internet and the openess to use it as you will. Be aware there is no kitchen really (no sink!) so not the place to stay if you are wanting to hang out & save money by making your own dinner. Sarah the owner is most helpful and her lovely hand drawn maps for the guests was a source of amusement. Very nice lady!! Her brother also a staff member seems to loiter a bit but is also helpful even if his English is not as strong. Sometimes no toilet paper in bathroom and had to be asked for. Separate toilet to shower would be better. A bad point is security is minimal. No lockers provided and it seems seldom the front door is not constantly guarded by staff so people buzz the door and guests can let them in (what else do you do when someone keeps ringing to get in?!) and people come and go, without really knowing if they are a guest or who. Bonus you do get your own key and there is no curfew. Bring your own lock to secure it in the wardrobes provided, I wish I had known this prior to my stay. Rooms themselves are also not lockable. Breakfast is provided by way of voucher to take to a cafe across the road for a cappuccino, brioche and OJ and it makes for a nice change from having crap bread in your PJs in the hostel! However all in all I would highly recommend this hostel to stay if you are not into partying inside and meeting new people so better if you already have a travel partner. Perhaps the place to stay for only one or two nights. :):) Pleasant!! |
