Hotel Stipino is a marvellous place to use as a base in your travels in Tuscany, lying just a few steps from the medieval city walls of Lucca.

The Hotel Stipino is more like a house than a hotel, open to old and new friends alike; both will appreciate the comfort and the warm and friendly atmosphere.

This lovely hotel just outside the historic city walls of Lucca old town is a delight for those looking for a quiet, relaxing, home-from-home base from which to explore the city and the beautiful Tuscany countryside.

Accommodation Information

English is not widely spoken in the hotel, but the staff will always do their best to make their guests feel at home. Their many guests who return year after year suggest that they succeed in ensuring a pleasant stay!

Very characteristic and charming, each bedroom is different, but all are cosy and well maintained and are decorated in an informal, welcoming style.

There are 20 rooms. All rooms are soundproofed and have a bathroom, TV, direct-dial telephone and air conditioning. There is no elevator. There is a large parking lot inside the premises.

Location Information

Lying just 500 miters from the walls of this ancient city, the hotel is a perfect base for your explorations of Lucca. One of Tuscany’s most enjoyable cities, the town was an ancient Etruscan centre before the invasion of the Romans, who laid out a street grid which survives to this day.

There is even a surviving Roman amphitheatre at the heart of the town ... now the venue for regular markets, and with shops and apartments occupying the ancient walls.
