Customer reviewNice cheap place, good location. However there was no one on reception ever, we tried calling a phone number when trying to check in, but was engaged. It was a bit of an ordeal, had we not bumped into a girl staying there who spoke Italian and knew they also owned another hotel around the corner and we could check in there, we would have been a bit lost and frustrated. |

Grant ChloeThis hostel was lovely, more like a 3 * hotel! It was super clean, they even made our beds every morning, and the rooms were huge. Staff were helpful, EXCELLENT value for money, great location. The only problem was that it was too quiet: we hardly saw a soul whilst there, so it's not a great place for meeting people. Otherwise, fantastic. |

Customer reviewIt has a fantastic location near the Duomo and other sites. It was also not a long walk to the train and bus stations from the hotel. They had a good internet connection to use for free. The only downside is that it doesn't have a lift and is about 6 flights of stairs up. |

Customer reviewI liked this place because it was clean and excellently situated. The only problem was we were in the front room, which gets increasingly noisy as the night progresses, from downstairs restaurants and traffic, so I would definitely recommend closing your window at night. |

Tiffany Mait was quiet and safe once youre in the buliding. the location was close to touristy streets. may be a little dark at night. receptionist left at 5ish and didnt speak a word of english. oh and this hostel is also owned by Hotel Gioppone.. which is a bit more expensive but location was better. |

Hannah SmithWe had reserved a 6 person room and ended up getting a private room for the same price, which was awesome! it was a great location and super clean- only bad thing was the owner wasn't there when we got there and we had to find someone's phone in the building to call her and tell her we were there, after we had sent her an email previously telling her what time we were getting in |

Customer reviewvery very quiet place - hardly anyone staying there - made it actually creepy. non of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms. windows face street and do not block out any noise. |

Customer reviewIt has perfect location in the historic centre of Florence, everything is withing the walking distance, the area is safen and it's very close to the train station which is very useful, too. Someone mentioned here that it's difficult to find - well the numbering in this street is a little strange, but it isn't difficult to find - no 22 is between Via della Spada and Via del Sole on the left (if you go from the station) and there's a clear sign downstairs. There's no permanently opened reception, when I arrived ther owner was not there, but there's a telephone number written downstairs and the owner arrived immediately after my call (if u don't want to call from an international mobile there's a calling centre nearby at Via del Moro- in the part between Via del Sole and V.delle Belle Donne). The room was nice and quite spacious,it had a fan inside, they make your bed everyday. Just the shelves could be a little more fresh, but just a little. It can be useful to have ear blockers as the you can hear the street traffic. The shared bathrooms are really clean. There are hairdryers in the bathrooms, there's a common fridge. Generally - nice place worth to be recommended for travellers searching budget accomodation. You shouldn't have there any unpleasant surprises that sometimes appear in the budget hotels. Next time I go to Florence I'll book it again. |

Customer reviewThe property is close to the train station, and that is about the only good thing I can say about it. The staff, when they are actually there, do not speak any english. In order to get to the actual property you have to climb 4 flights of stairs inside of a very dark building. The stairs are not lit, and I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle. Also, there is no atmosphere here..except bland. This is the place to come if you do not want to meet anyone at all. |

Customer reviewUpon arrival we were placed in one of the other properties that the owner of Siggiorno Prestipino owned. However our accommodations exceeded my expectations and we ended up in Hotel Giappone where we were given our own room with 2 beds. Overall my experience was very good and the location was excellent. |

Miguel CassagneIt is a wonderfull hostel with a great location. It is near the train station (4 blocks) and also near the main places in Firenze like Duome Ponte Becchio. The staff is great. You have very good internet conection, TV, and also your own locker, and the provide you key for your room and also for your locker. The hostel is also very clean. I´ve spent a great time there. It is highly recommended. At the biggining I bocked for 2 nights and finally I decided to stay 2 more. Mike Cassagne from Argentina |
