Liked: Friendly owner, though i never knew where reception was or where to find him throughout the stay. Bathrooms were good and clean! Kitchen had sufficient cooking utensils and even an old fashioned coffee maker.

Disliked: I had bedbug bites from the 5 person room dorm, and a couple whom we met also complained about bed bug bites from the 8 person dorm. Also, the surrounding area was really noisy with sirens resonating through the area every 10 minutes (seriously) and other random people making noises downstairs.

Liked: Incredibly centrally located - a couple minute walk away from the Duomo. Very cozy atmosphere.

Disliked: Only 2 bathrooms for about 16 or so people on a full night.

Liked: It has a nice apartment like vibe. The location is good.

Disliked: WARNING: Bed bugs!!!!! I woke up covered in bed bug bites all over my body. It is the first time I experience such a thing and I must say it is horrible. Even though the hostel could be fun to stay in, I just wanted to warn you all about the bugs. It is gross! I am back home and still covered in bites! Additionally, no elevator so you have to carry the luggage to the last floor.

Liked: great location, and the staff pointed out good places to go. pretty cheap

Disliked: more than 12 people stay there at once, not very clean, SUPER LOUD at night (and I am a pretty deep sleeper), never toilet paper in the bathrooms, no free breakfast or dinner to speak of, lockout, staff was pretty absent, they have a sign on the wall saying basically "don't complain to us, give us a bad rating, we don't care," uncomfortable beds, and BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS. the staff pretended they were mosquito bites and did nothing about them. I look like I have a disease, and so does my cousin, don't come if you want a super itchy vacation.

Liked: The location was excellent. It was also inexpensive. Other than that, nothing.

Disliked: Don't go here. It was dirty, crowded, and hot, with no air conditioning. The two times I needed to get into the hostel without having a key (to check in and to pick up bags I'd stored) there was nobody there and I had to wait outside for 45 minutes to an hour. It is not secure: there are no lockers, nor are there even locks on the rooms - once someone gets into the hostel he/she can access everything. One of the worst things about it was the bathroom situation. There was only 1 bathroom available for the three public dorm rooms, about 20 people. The bathroom was combination shower/sink/toilet, with no other toilet available. In the morning, typically I had to wait about 20 minutes to get into the bathroom just to brush my teeth and use the toilet. Lastly, the hostel workers speak very bad, broken english. If you don't speak Italian, expect communication to be difficult. Once again, don't go here. Spend a few extra Euros and go somewhere better.

Liked: the staff was extremely helpful and responsive when we had a problem come up. it had a nice, homey feel to it, and i would definitely stay there again!

Disliked: the only thing that i can think of is that it would have been nice if they had had a few more bathrooms.

Liked: It changed a lot since the last time I stayed there. It is a much calmer property. I enjoyed the way it was very laid back.

Liked: The staff was extremely helpful and told us about all of the important sites in florence and showed us where they were on the map as well as good restaurants to eat at

Disliked: There were a lot of stairs to climb, but it wasn´t a major issue

Liked: Location, so close to everything, on an awesome Street right near the Duomo. Staff are friendly, theres a kitchen for use

Disliked: Lots of stairs sometimes there was no toilet paper in the mornings...but otherwise everything was good

Disliked: No breakfast available as advertised and there was often no loo roll in the toilets.

Liked: -friendly staff -very close to the centre of Florence and the train station -has a kitchen -bright rooms

Disliked: -travelled with a laptop but there weren't any lockers to put it in during the day. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and put it in a secure spot in their own separate accommodations

Liked: The worker was WONDERFUL! Friendly and helpful! The location is PREFECT! And the place is very clean. I would stay here again in a heart beat! The Free wifi works GREAT!

Disliked: Since there is not a open reception desk someone is not always there. So just make sure you let them know when you are arriving. We did and had no problems, however, other travelers got to the hostel and had to call to let them know they had arrived. Also, if you leave your stuff there after you have checked out before leaving town make sure you leave enough time to wait for someone to arrive if they aren't there when you come to pick it up!

Liked: It was in a great location right by the duomo. It felt like a house more than a hostel, and it was great for meeting people. The staff was very nice with great rules!

Disliked: The wifi didn't work on one of the floors, but you could use the laptop downstairs.

Liked: nice staff! good recommandations about ice cream shops and pizza! bath room is clean and big, very near to the center duomo

Liked: realy great place, right in the center for great price, friendly and helpfull stuff, kitchen with free coffee, tea, marmelade, nice dormitory...what more can I say....

Disliked: everything was great...maybe..there are no lockers, but the dorm is always locked so I think its not a problem

Liked: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The woman who welcomed us gave us plenty of recommendations as to what to see when she was showing us the map. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and the kitchen facilities were enormous; I cooked dinner with my friend, which was great.

Disliked: I don't really have any negative comments about it. The only thing that was missing from our stay was towels.

Liked: Great, Clean hostel! Kitchen was great, view from window was awesome. Great fresco on the ceiling of the bedrooms.

Liked: The area was fine, Florence is very small so it was very quick to walk to pretty much anywhere.

Disliked: They overbooked and although I had booked my place there for 3 nights weeks ago, they didn't have a proper bed for me. They gave me a fold out which was slumped and they didn't even have a blanket for me. only sheets, I couldn't sleep because it was so cold. I asked the next day for another blanket and they said they didn't have any extra so they gave me another (thick) sheet. I asked since i was there 3 nights if I could have a better bed than a one night person, and they said no. I would have preferred to have spent a few extra euros to be a in better hostel. There is no elevator and the hostel is on the top floor of a building. It's not so bad but when you arrive and leave if you have luggage you have to haul it up the stairs.
