This was a fantastic hostel but don't stay here if you want to be in Florence. It is in the middle of nowehere, it's about a 2km walk to the closest bus stop and its quite far from other towns (11km walk to Vinci) but the peace and quiet is a welcome break from a long summer trip. Janine was so lovely and helpful, she made my stay there so much better. The pick up and drop off service were fantastic, I wish I had stayed there longer as it was so serene. The rooms are lovely and the land is beautiful. If you are brave enough I would recommend the 22km return walk to Vinci.

Absolutely one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The country side was beautiful, the staff were beyond nice and helpful, the rooms were amazing, the food was the best I have ever had. I cannot recommend leonardo's enough. You shouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.

This place is heaven! I had an amazing time away from all the hussle and bussle of the big cities. Although it was a little cold, that didn't stop me enjoying the place and area to it's full potential. Guido, Patrick, Adelle and everyone were amazing hosts. I loved learning about the Olive production, and being shown around Leonardo's Land and surrounding villages. The wine tour was lots of fun. You are in the middle of Tuscany, and not really close to shops, so buy any snacks you may wish to have throughout the days. If I can afford to return to Italy, I would definitely visit here again. Thank you for an amazing experience. :)

The location is brilliant, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Fantastic views over the Tuscany region. The room was ok - shower curtain would be handy. We really appreciated the idea of free pick-up from and to Florence. Is is quite difficult to find it, if you are not coming from Florence though (directions on the website are only from Florence). When I rang the hostel for directions, the receptionist was not able to give it to us. We were coming from Pisa and he was sending us to Florence and follow the directions from there!!! Considering it is about 100km detour, I thought it was absolutely ridiciulous! He had obviously no clue about the region. If the hostel is located in the remote area like this one certainly is, staff should be able to give directions. On the other hand, Guido was very helpful and gave us some tips about Tuscany region and how to get back to Pisa Airport. Breakfast needs a bit of improvement.

This place was beautiful! no where near flornece its for the tuscan country side only. staff was great! i did not hear the greatest things about managment but i had a wonderful experience. Patrick was cool... didnt see him much and Jeane was awesome! one sucky thing is you have to pay for EVERYTHING! swim caps, snacks, dinner, internet, laundry, EVERYTHING! and the wine tour was 26 euros! maybe a little money hungry BUT! the place was stunning! i would go back for sure

A really good taste of Tuscany, but a long way from places. The walk to the nearby village was lovely and the wine tour was good also.

A stunning location for getting away from the city. Amazing pool! The homemade pasta, wine and ice cream was delicious and good value at 9euro for the lot. Bring a swimming cap or you'll be charged for one. We would recommend hiring a bike from them and cycling to Vinci- a great day trip.

Secluded and a great place to relax. IF you are planning on seeing florence this place is a little too far out. We had a car and it was just perfect. Not all that many people to meet but a magnificent pool and a perfect place for taking a break. Great value for money.

This place was the highlight of our whole trip. It was the best place we stayed and by no means is a hostel. It's a beuatiful Tuscan Villa (at the cost of a hostel) which you can meet other travellers if you choose to with the dinners and social areas. The owner was wonderful and came to us after dinner for a chat and gave us some after dinner local drinks. The meals were wonderful. Wifi was on offer which was a bonus. Pitty about wearing bathing caps in the pool. The man who runs the place was a little abrupt on our arrival but was pleasent to us for the rest of the stay. The owner upgraded us which made our stay even more enjoyable. The place is very hard to find. The signagae is misleading as it is posted on top of another sign as if two names were apparent for the place. Would highly recommend this place and hope to get back here one day. If your after clubbing in Florence this is not it...but after a local few wines you will meet people and get your own fun going. Loved it :)

Nice place in the country to relax. Pretty buildings and gardens, great pool, good for a day on the bike to Vinci or one of the other towns. The free pic up from Florence makes it easy to reach!

The location in the hills of Tuscany is both idyllic & tranquil, & a great temporary escape from the hustle & bustle of the major cities. There is an American guy called Patrick who runs the hostel. A seasoned traveler himself, he is extremely helpful & a very interesting person to converse with. There is an excellent swimming pool that guests are free to use, some wonderful walks, & the house wine is fantastic value for money - Euro 4-6! There is also a small village with a few shops a mere 20 minutes away. Transport is a slight problem of you don't have a car & are wanting to get out & about (although there are daily shuttle rides into Florence available at Euro 5), & breakfast is very basic. However, I absolutely loved the time spent at this hostel (one of the best I have ever stayed in!) & would heartily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little escapism from city life

I loved this hostel. The rooms are beautiful - with whitewashed walls, beams and exposed stone. To get to the pool you wander down the hillside through an olive grove, past lavender bushes and fig trees, to an infinity pool overlooking the tuscan countryside. Patrick and Maria were so great and I had a great time here. If you are in Florence, I recommend taking a couple of days out to relax here.
