Liked: We absolutely LOVED this place. We felt at home. The guy at the front desk really did help us out with everything, including finding us gluten free restaurants in the proximity of the hotel (not a hostel!)

Disliked: Nothing. It was close to everything and within walking distance. We didn't need any of the public transportation except for the one time we went up the hill for the incredible view.

Liked: Incredibly friendly and helpful.Very clean,good breakfast and possibly the only hospitality tray in a hostel/hotel in Italy. Excellent!

Disliked: No criticism.

Liked: The place was a big room with ensuite that was very clean and secure and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The breakfast was barely existant and its a bit out of the way in relation to the main town.

Liked: It is near the center (about 10 minutes walk from the train station). The staff cleans the room every day and they offer free towels which they change every two days. TV, aircon, hair-dryer is provided in the room (even a safe). There is a lot of space in the room. Breakfast includes: coffee, juice, sweet stuff and a bottle of water 1.5l) and is served at your room.

Liked: The owner is a very helpful person. He gave us a map, marked important places, kind of planned the itinerary, gave us tips on eating outlets etc. The rooms were nice and comfy and wireless was great.

Disliked: The lone computer to be used in the lobby isn't as great though. But, if you have an iPhone or personal laptop, it's no problem at all.

Liked: Honestly, this felt more like a hotel than a hostel. The rooms are phenomenal: everything refurbished, clean and elegant private bathroom (towels, soap, hair dryer provided), big mirror, TV (if you desperately needed it), big beds, large windows and - especially during summer a real treat and unbelievable advantage - air conditioning. Also one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed at. Internet, free of charge, is provided. The staff is really helpful and speaks Italian, English and even German. So: if you are on a short city trip and don't mind walking some 10-15 mins into the city centre, this is THE place to stay!!!

Liked: It was the nicest place we stayed in our 8 week tour of Europe! SOOOOOO nice! The staff was amazing! I really felt like we were staying at a nicer hotel... for the price of a hostel!

Liked: The staff were VERY helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. Excellent value for money.

Disliked: The breakfast isn't much and there is a lot of noise from the street outside at all hrs of the day and night. The location isn't very central but Florence is small enough that you can walk everywhere and thats what we did, so the location is fine.

Liked: Everything! I already thanked the owner and staff for having such a wonderful hostel! This hostel is fantastic!!!! A real pearl!

Disliked: Can't think of a single thing that we didn't like. Even the traffic noise settled down around 11 PM so we could sleep! How thoughtful of them! Hahaha!

Liked: Very safe and secure. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed and nice shower. Air conditioning!

Disliked: Internet was advertised, but not always working. A better breakfast option would have been good.

Liked: Excellent staff, owner of hotel is so friendly and supportive, he know some tip about Florence and mark places for visit on the map. Map was gave from Hotel free of charge.Big room, big bathroom, first floor. Breakfast in the room (hotel service) was simply but nice.Will be back again.

Disliked: In the morning it is noisy from street side.

Liked: Large room and bathroom with television and small breakfast provided. Staff very nice and helpful, wifi and shared computer were not working but the main reception computer was offered for use. 20 min walk to the centre of Florence, but well worth it. I highly recommend this hostel, very cheap for the quality of the room.

Liked: Everything! Location, the room with excellent facilities and especially perfect staff - they made a reservation for us to Ufizzi, when they found out we had food in the room they installed a small fridge and even put the food in while we were away... Nothing was a problem. Thank you!

Liked: Lovely and friendly staff, very welcoming. Room was clean, comfortable and a very good size, breakfast (cakes, jam, bread, juice and tea and coffee making facilities) and water was provided at no extra cost in our rooms every day. Would happily stay here again if returning to Florence =)

Disliked: Not exactly a central location (about 10 minutes walk from the train station), but this wasn't really a problem, it just meant a bit extra walking! XD Also, if you want a quiet location, this might not be a good choice. The hostel is right by a main road and is quite loud until the early hours of the morning, but again, it wasn't really a problem and we had no trouble sleeping. =)

Liked: The Soggiorno Madrid made our stay in Florence absolutely amazing. They did everything they possibly could to accommodate us and the facilities were wonderful. The best hotel we've stayed at in a while. I highly recommend this place if you are traveling to Florence.
