Liked: The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, there was free wifi, the price was very good and the location was perfect for us, traveling by car.

Liked: loved this place! really good value for money! with free breakfast, net, linen and great staff :D the lady at reception is the best human GPS ever!! so helpgul... google maps could never out-do her!

Liked: Staff was really amazing! She gave us all information without even asking (restaurants,groceries,) and was absolutaly kind and helpful. The best staff we have ever met!

Disliked: It´s a little bit to far from Firenze.Im glad we had our car!

Liked: Tuscany is beautiful, and I went for a run to a neighbouring village and the views were amazing. The bathrooms were clean. There are big lockers for bags/suitcases.

Disliked: I wouldn't stay hear again, if I could do it again I would have spent more money to stay in another Tuscan town - i.e. Seina, San Gimignano or Volterra. The hostel is very quiet and lacking in atmosphere.

Liked: The location was perfect. I loved staying in a small italian town. I didn't even bother going to Firenze or Siena during my stay.

Disliked: Nothing. For my few days there is was very relaxed

Liked: I really liked the location, although some others i met there did not (it is not IN Florence) it is a great place to stay if you want to go to other places in tusscany on day trips (sienna, Pisa, etc). Also the staff were really helpful, breakfast was nice, chap washing/drying.

Disliked: nothing!

Liked: It was far enough out of Florence to feel like you were really enjoying Tuscany and the village it's in is small but fun. They have live music and lots of wine tastings around.

Disliked: Sometimes the buses didn't come when they were supposed to

Liked: The staff was super helpful, I missed my bus to Poggibonsi and the man at the desk was nice enough to give me a ride there for no charge. The area is beautiful and the rooms were not to crowded.

Disliked: The only problem was that it is very far outside of Florence and the busses dont come regularly during the summer.

Liked: The staff was very kind and helpful. They suggested a lot activities and places to visit. The breakfast was good. Everything was clean and tidy. The garden was pleasant and a good place to enjoy a meal and relax.

Disliked: It's a bit far from Florence (20 km).

Liked: Extremelly friendly staff, good equiped facilities (refrigerator, kitchen....) Location is good mostly for people with car. We've been by car so it wasn't problem but I heard that bus station is quite far.

Disliked: maybe location for them who comes without car

Liked: Beautiful area, fantastic hostel and awesome staff.

Disliked: Make sure you are aware that this isn't in Florence, but Florence is still only a 40 min bus ride away.

Liked: Very quiet, beautiful location. One of the best hostels Ive stayed in yet. Very clean. Great place to meet other travlers, big kitchen to cook, large outside area to hang out/eat/relax, close walk to store and town square, close bus ride to other towns, very nice, accomodating staff.

Liked: The hostel was an amazing place to live in. The rooms were very clean and so were the toilets. The double decker beds were of the best quality that i have seen in my travels thus far( it doesnt creak). The place was a quiet place and the community was smaller which makes it easier to mingle around. But i guess the best part of this hostel is that the staff is really amazing. they were helpful and they were descriptive of all kinds of directions which we need (which kinda makes up for the "seclusivity" of the hostel). They were meticulous. Well done.

Disliked: The location of the hostel was very very far from florence. You had to take a bus to the hostel from the train station and theres a last bus to the hostel from the train station. If you miss the last bus, u basically have to stay overnight at the train station. Furthermore, on sundays, the hostel is basically "exclusive" with buses operating from hostel - florence at a later time in the morning and ends at an earlier time. Technically, 1 night in ostello del chianti = base price + 2 bus rides(6.60)

Liked: The staff was awesome! Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were also very cheap so it was a great value for the money. The location was beautiful! There are lots of local restaurants and a gelateria that serves some of the best gelato in all of Italy!

Disliked: The SITA bus does not run very late, so their is a bit of a time limit on how late you can stay in Florence without being stranded.

Liked: The staff were amazing! On our last day the bus to Florence didn't turn up so we weren't going to make our train, but the lady at reception was lovely and calmed us down, and told us that the tourist office could change our reservation. The town, Tavernelle de Pesa, is very beautiful. The hostel made maps of all the surrounding places to eat and visit, they couldn't have been more helpful. We had a private triple room which had 6 beds in it, and our own balcony! The breakfast is cheap, and pretty good. There are regular buses to Florence, so if you are visiting the city location isn't a problem. The hostel have a selection of timetables. They really do think of everything!

Disliked: Despite the net curtains there was still a small mosquito problem, but it wasn't a big deal, and couldn't really be helped. Best hostel I've ever been to :D

Liked: I liked it because it was a break from all the big italian cities! It's calm and quiet, but very fun! We met a lot of nice people! The restaurants near by are very good and everyone is so nice! There's a supermarket near and they give you a map so you can know where everything they think you need to know is there! We went to visit a farm that was also a vineyard and we went wine tasting there, the staff from the hostel was very helpful and they arranged the wine tasting experience for us! So all in all a really great place to stay!
