Liked: The staff were amazing! On our last day the bus to Florence didn't turn up so we weren't going to make our train, but the lady at reception was lovely and calmed us down, and told us that the tourist office could change our reservation. The town, Tavernelle de Pesa, is very beautiful. The hostel made maps of all the surrounding places to eat and visit, they couldn't have been more helpful. We had a private triple room which had 6 beds in it, and our own balcony! The breakfast is cheap, and pretty good. There are regular buses to Florence, so if you are visiting the city location isn't a problem. The hostel have a selection of timetables. They really do think of everything!

Disliked: Despite the net curtains there was still a small mosquito problem, but it wasn't a big deal, and couldn't really be helped. Best hostel I've ever been to :D

Liked: I liked it because it was a break from all the big italian cities! It's calm and quiet, but very fun! We met a lot of nice people! The restaurants near by are very good and everyone is so nice! There's a supermarket near and they give you a map so you can know where everything they think you need to know is there! We went to visit a farm that was also a vineyard and we went wine tasting there, the staff from the hostel was very helpful and they arranged the wine tasting experience for us! So all in all a really great place to stay!

Liked: The location in a great part of Tuscany. The staff, Delcan & Sylvia were incredibly helpful, nice room and advice. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a central location to visit the towns around Tuscany such as Sienne, Florence and the smaller quaint towns in Chianti.

Disliked: Nothing really springs to mind.

Liked: The staff were incredibly helpful, and the location was really beautiful. An easy bus ride to Florence or Sienna and much more affordable than staying in Florence or Siena.

Disliked: Guests were not able to use the kitchen during the day.

Liked: Everything! The staff was so friendly an helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. The reccomended great restaurants, wineyards and bike trips to take. They rent out bikes pretty cheap. We actually ended up staying three more nights then the two we had originally booked because we liked it so much and because you cannot find accomodation for a better price in the chianti region than this.

Disliked: The optional breakfast (additional 1.80 eur). It wasn't great so we only had it one day. Luckily, you can find good caffees in the village or buy your breakfast at the nearby supermarket (COOP) and store the stuff in the common fridge as we did.

Liked: really nice location out of city centre. the staff were really nice and helpful the whole time.

Disliked: the bikes we hired werent very good, both chains broke on them (1 within the first 10mins). also it was very cold at night.

Liked: This place was great! The staff are amazing (thanks guys!), nice rooms, clean, good wifi, everything great. Be advised, it's 1 hr by bus outside Florence so it's more suitable for a lovely country vacation than a cheap florence hostel. Great places all around to walk/bike and and some great restaurants to sample the tuscan cuisine. Lots of bathrooms!

Disliked: The main girls dorm was a bit cold as it gets no sun all day (but otherwise comfortable). One of the girls showers has poor water pressure but it's usually only a few minutes wait for another one.

Liked: Silivia and Declane n the rest of the stuff were wonderful! very nice and helpful! and very kind the rooms were very clean, there is a huge kitchen you can cook for yourself the breakfast is very good you can easily go around to siena or walk around

Liked: It was really clean and the staff was very helpful.

Disliked: Hard to locate, almost 50min away from Florence. It had too many random people and isn't what I would recommend to young people from age 18-25.

Liked: Silvietta (front desk) was very friendly and helpful! Quite setting, clean and comfortable. Good facilities.

Disliked: Far from Florence and if you don't have a car you're dependant on public transportation by bus.

Liked: Best hostel owners ever! So friendly, so lovely, and I met one of my best friends within an hour of arriving...absollutely brilliant for lone travellers and great location for reaching medieval towns or Siena/Florence.

Disliked: There could be more to do inside hostel other than TV or ping pong - though the wine to offer is great. Perhaps more magazines and newspapers even, or something sociable.

Liked: Actually , this is a very good hostel with fair price . Just because there is few traveler like us to be there... For future mates want to visit there , I suggest them to prepare a detail routing plan since the public transportation is a little problem and most of local people can not speak English.....

Liked: Sylvia is very very very helpful and NICE! She upgraded our shared bathroom to a ensuite and gave us a very huge rooms with 2 toilets in it! There is a huge balcony in which u can hang dry your clothes or enjoy a drink while sitting outside and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was fantastic and cheap!
