Liked: One of the friendliest hostels I've stayed in, and a great place to meet other travellers because of it.

Disliked: It's a bit of a walk from the centre, but that helps to make it nice and cheap.

Liked: brilliant place, slightly outside the centre but just right as away from the tourist crowds. Spotless and nicely decorated rooms, and a great mixture of people! Jonathan was incredibly help- and cheerful and I really regret not staying longer. ...and yes, free wine and very good breakfast.

Disliked: bigger kitchen facilities would have been nice (fridge and microwave are there, just not much cooking space), no lockers for luggage - no big deal as the place seemed very safe, but the security-minded might want to factor this in.

Liked: Jonathan was very nice and helpful he gave a very warm welcome with a glass of wine and chips and give a free bus ticket and show us many cool places in firenze the atmosphere was great if you,re looking for socialable hostel there was a meeting room with great music the bathroom was clean

Disliked: the bed weren,t so comfortable and it´s a mix dorm

Liked: Jonathan and Ella were really friendly and helpful during my long stay in Florence, Danys House felt like home after a week there! The people who stayed in the hostel were all really friendly too and easy to get on with, with free wine and snacks it provided a great social atmosphere.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: jonathan was so helpful and nice. there was a general atmosphere of fun and goodwill the entire time and everyone was friendly.

Disliked: it was a little far from the center, but not too bad of a walk.

Liked: I walked in and was immediately greeted by kind staff, given free wine, and introduced to other people staying at the hostel. Much more of an interactive experience than many other hostels I've been to, and I enjoyed my stay much more than I anticipated I would with any other hostel.

Disliked: Just the location. It's a bit of a walk to get there if you don't know where it is, and once you're there, it's a bit far away, but the staff recommend good things to see and how to get there quicker with buses.

Liked: Jonathan and Ella are so nice! They do everything to make your stay wonderful -- and the free wine is an obvious perk, and a great way to meet other travellers. Best hostel I stayed in!

Liked: Awesome hostel to stay at. The staff is so helpful. When you arrive you get a map and they tell you where to go and how to get there. There was free wine and chips at night. Free internet. The hostel was super clean and small. Breakfast was 2.50 and very good for a hostel breakfast, was more than just toast and cornflakes. Would definitely stay there again.

Liked: The staff was very friendly, they provided snacks at the end of each day. The bed was very comfortable.

Disliked: It was frustrating sharing a bathroom with nine other people, and the hostel's a little out of the way. But all in all, it was a very nice place!

Liked: Dany house is a fantastic place to stay! Jonathan and Elah are such wonderful people and so welcoming to their guests. They made me feel like it was my home and I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was lovely, and I met some great people also on their travels. Its a very safe area and the hostel itself is very secure and clean. Its only about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Florence too. All in all its a lovely place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Liked: The staffs are really friendly and helpful. If you look it up on the map, this place seems to be located outside of the city center. But it is very easy to travel around because the bus stops almost in front of their door. And they offer free wine and chips every nights.

Liked: I felt like in a family, Jonathan and Ella were amazingly friendly and helpful. The hostel is very clean and rooms are nicely decorated. You can tell they love their place and they are looking after it well. There was free wine every evening which made people easily coming to the common room. I was travelling on my own and spent every night in the common room, sharing wine and conversation with great people, I had a fantastic time there, the best hostel I've stayed in.

Liked: Jon and Ella are some of the best people that I met while backpacking across Europe; they run a hostel that is fun and comforting to be in. It was always a blast to come back to the hostel after spending the entire day roaming around Florence. Thank you for the great time - it truly made the trip a great time.

Liked: Jonathan was really helpful in showing us everything in the city, and the free wine was good as well! It was clean and the dorm rooms had a pretty good amount of space. He also let us keep our bags at the hostel until our train was leaving, so we could see the city all day without dragging our stuff around. Breakfast was convenient and worth the money.

Disliked: The directions weren't awesome, and it was a little bit of a hassle to find how to get there. The hostel is outside the historic district: you can walk everywhere, but it'll be a long walk so you pretty much have to take the bus. There is only one bathroom for all the dorm beds and it doesn't have a separate toilet, so you have to wait if someone is in the shower. Also, the rooms themselves don't lock, and there are no lockers to lock your things. Also, a bit noisy from the street.

Liked: This place is fantastic!! Jonathan is such a friendly guy, really helpful, gave us a map of the city, good places to eat etc etc. The place is beautifully decorated with a common room you can sit and talk to people... Free Tuscan wine every night! Very clean and really really good value for money! Breakfast was very good value for money. Definitely telling anyone going to Florence to stay here!
