Liked: The hostel is located right by the train station in a great part of the city. The facilities are of the nicest that I have seen thus far in Europe, and the services offered were equally as tremendous. The staff was a teriffic attribute to the hostel as well, and the combination of these characteristics has me already looking to book another trip to the same hostel so that I can spend more time there. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Florence.

Liked: I liked the free food and wine! Breakfast was bad though, I especially was displeased with the plastic cups/cutlery/plates/etc that we were given! save the environment people!

Liked: The people who work at Academy Hostel are very committed to their job and to the experience of their visitors. It had a great family atmosphere.

Liked: Best hostel in Italy. A REAL hostel with lots of information, free internet, drinks, great rooms, beds and staff. I wish the rest of our trip was as good as this!

Liked: Fantastic place to stay with fabulous tips to make the most of your time in Florence. Not a place for someone who wants early nights as can be quite loud.

Liked: Academy Hostel is a paradise! It is the best hostel i have ever stayed in. they are geniuses! the location is perfect, it is very clean, the people are fun and friendly. they do apperitvo at 630 every night but it is still quiet enough to sleep! unbelievably good!

Liked: I leave tonight and I already miss the hostel and Romina. Romina is Italy's national treasure. I was very lucky to have met her. She took the group to dinner and accompanied us to the various Florentine nightlife hot spots. Marco is also great. He was very helpful and always happy to see you.The hostel is very clean and a great place to meet fellow travelers. They arrange a great happy hour that brings all of the new faces together every night at 6.30 pm. It's usually a launch pad for reservations to an outstanding dinner and a night on the town. Remember, it's always in good form to bring an inexpensive of house Chianti every now and then and contribute to the happy hour. Bottom line - I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Liked: A great hostel that really makes you feel welcome. They even offer free food and Sangrea out on the balcony to encourage everyone to get to know one another.

Liked: This was the best place we have stayed on our trip. The hostel was spotless, the staff went out of their way to help us and it was in a great location. We will certainly be recomending it to lots of others. A great place to stay!

Liked: The staff was soooo friendly, also there was free internet + print.Unforunatelly there is no real kitchen but you get every evening a little apéro which is also good to meet people.

Liked: Fantastic hostel, the dorm rooms and beds were extremely spacious and comfortable. Air con in the room was great also. The whole place was extremely well looked after and cleaned thoroughly every day. The staff were also always on hand to help out with anything, as well give out free sangria and wine in the evenings :) Was a great opportunity to meet people. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Liked: Fabulous location 2mins away from the Duomo and the Accademia where David is located. Inside is cool, clean and serene with helpful staff and plenty of computers for internet access. The evening aperitivo is an lovely touch and is a good opportunity to meet your fellow guests in advance of further socialising etc!

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location- in short the best of the many hostels I've ever stayed in! Also, they offered free sangria and pasta/fruit etc each night which was a great opportunity to meet new people.

Liked: Great Hostel but only one bathroom per bedroom it can get wait for long time if everyone who want go bathroom in the morning. Good breakfast and free internet. It have one nice Apple Macbook computer for everyone can use it for internet for free. Also it have three other PCs as well but most people who want use MAC then PC! Very good location. Also good cheap dinner but it from microwave but it very nice. I will like go back again.

Liked: This place is an excellent hostel. Although I thought it was a little pricey initially, when you factor in the welcome drinks (wine or sangria) and snacks (which you could turn into dinner if you wanted to) and free internet, it's comparable to most hostels in Florence. Where it shines is if you're looking to meet people; the welcome drinks are an excellent opportunity to make friends. Highly recommended!
