Liked: Academy Hostel is WONDERFUL! I definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Florence. It is right in the center of the city and a really short walk from the train station. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. They have breakfast in the morning and appetizers in the evening. It is very clean and the rooms are beautiful. TRUST ME, STAY HERE!!!

Liked: Lovely place, very sophisticated. Great free pasta and wine every night. Very clean and well thought out rooms and free quick interent and bookswap. The being "closed" between 11 and 2 is a bit odd, they could just say, please try and make yourself scarce between these hours, its not nice to think you arent welcome for 3 hours of you possibly, few hours duration of stay. Staff was not good at suggesting local or cheap places to eat but overall, great.

Liked: Absolutely top-notch hostel. Adorable twin room with private bath. My daughter's 21st birthday occured when we were there and the staff remembered and gave us a free bottle of wine to celebrate with before we went out to dinner. Kitchen available for food prep if desired. Nice sitting area with TV, books, guides, computer stations, etc.

Liked: The location was amazing, the staff were soooo friendly and helpful! A definate must for anyone wishing to see Florence. We made new friends, saw amazing things and had delicious food! Thank you for a great stay!

Liked: I've been to 25 countries and stayed in numerous hostels, but Academy Hostel is the best I've ever stayed. It's literally 2 seconds from Duomo, super clean and the bed was comfortable. I met a bunch of nice people and we went out for dinner and a few drinks. The free wine reception was also very nice. The bathroom is big and clean, they provide you a towel and also you can use a hairdryer. Everything in this hostel was satisfactory. However, the most thing that impressed me was the staffs- they are just amazing. They're very kind and sweet, provide every single information you need. I feel like I've known them for years. I wish I can stay a bit longer!!! Dear travellers, I strongly recommend this hostel to you. Grazie mille to Academy Hostel for a pleasant stay!

Liked: I was very happy with the facilities and standards of Academy hostel. As a coeliac, I was surprised to find that gluten free items were available at breakfast without my requesting them. During my stay there, I was greatly assisted by a caring young man on the reception desk when I became aware of sad family business.

Liked: The people who work there and the people you meet there. Rosa and Romina are the best host ever! The hostel is unbelievably clean and there is breakfast and dinner every night. You are 100 meters away from The David and a few blocks away from the central market. Fabulous location. This is really five star hotel quality. If you are going to Florence this is the hsotel to stay at.

Liked: Brilliant Accommodation, probably the best hostel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at for a few nights. Breakfast in the mornings and pasta and free wine/sangria provided in the evenings free of charge. Friendly, helpful staff, nice beds, good facilities and friendly guests meant that it was an absoloute pleasure to stay at the Academ Hostel in Florence!

Liked: We almost forgot to see Florence this hostel was so great! Had a brilliant time, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hostel has great facilities - internet, kitchen, no bunkbeds, plenty of hot water! It is very welcoming and fun - one of the best hostel's I've stayed at definitely! :)

Liked: this is utopia! you never will believe this! this hostel offers the value of a hotel! the staff is very friendly! they have four computers for using the internet! and it is so clean! they even offer in the evening free appetizers and free wine! no hostel did this ever before! if you want a perfect stay in Florence, this is the only possibility!

Liked: i loveeeeeee this hostel.. especially the evening appetizer... i love the rooms.. the cleanliness, the cozy hostels environments, the free internet, the strategic location, the clean kitchen ..i have traveled to so many places and stayed at so many hostels...but i rate this hostel as the best i have ever stayed.. would recommend to other travelers..

Liked: Friendly place, centrally located, clean, eco-friendly. Only drawback is you have to be out and about between 11 and 2 because then they clean the place up. Also the breakfast isn't either tasty or very nutritious (unless you can live off heaps of muesli with milk), but you get to use a fridge so you can get some stuff yourself. I was there 5 days and had a great time. For some reason, the place attracts all these intellectual-minded folks (perhaps it's in the name).

Liked: Academy Hostel provided a cozy and confortable environment for us to stay and meet other people, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Everything was clean, the internet was free of charge, and the staff were friendly, all of which impressed us. Although the heater inside the room was not working well, it is still a great place for visitors to stay!! It is the best hostel I've stayed in Italy.
