Liked: personnel were execllent. Very friendly, and could speak english..! This i the best hostel I have stayed at in Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Verona)...I will come here again.

Liked: An amazing place to stay! One of my best hostel experiences while in Europe. Super friendly staff, a great atmosphere, clean rooms and great facilities. I would recommend this hostel to anyone that is looking to stay in Florence. By far, one of the best experiences of my trip.

Liked: Overall, a pleasant stay, very friendly, helpful staff and a nice room.All of Firenze's sights were within 20 minutes walk of the hostel.The biggest improvement that could be made would be to put mosquito nets up on the windows, as I am now covered in bites, although other guests told me they had not experienced the same problem.

Liked: BEST hostel I have ever stayed at. A warm and friendly environment with plenty of common areas for meeting people and hanging out. By the end of my stay, all of the travelers had become like one big family. I didn't want to leave! It is a great place to stay if you are traveling alone. Very helpful staff, free internet, kitchen, outdoor terrace, very safe, clean, and very close to all of the main attractions of Florence.

Liked: The staff here was very nice! Be warned if you stay here that there is a lock-out from 11-1pm. I did not realize this upon booking the room. But the good thing was that the staff was nice about letting us stay a bit longer past the 11am deadline to get out. We also requested a room with 4 beds and they put my friend and I in a private room for 2 people! So we got a free upgrade. A little confusing to find, but the location was good - very close to the main train station. I would stay here again!

Liked: Only one member of staff I met out of 3 or so, was kind and helpful. Can be rude to people having a social drink in the common room, they have a lock out and shut down the patio and common room. Even if you are just packing up your stuff they want you out on the dot. Although I met some super friendly people. The kitchen stove, oven and microwave were broken. Showers don't always work.But in a prime location for walking to all of Florence's wonderful sights.

Liked: This was our second visit to Emerald House in the past year and once again lived up to expectations. Staff are extremely helpful. Clean rooms and bathroom facilities and located close to major attractions. Excellent value for money.

Liked: The staff were super nice and offered recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc...We were a little annoyed when we checked in and had to move to another building but the manager was great and walked us there.

Liked: Like all hostels, if you get a room in the front of the building you may have to deal with some passing traffic. Luckily Florence dies down early enough though. The staff was fiendly and helpful, I made some new friends while hanging out in the dining area and out back, the location is in close proximity to the train station and the sites. They only have simple uploader for Facebook pictures for those who don't bring their own laptops, but this is typical of the city and other hostels in the area anyways. I would stay there again, and actually ended up staying more than a week as I kept extending my stay.
