Liked: cool and grungy look, fantastic location. laura, the owner and girl living there was nice

Disliked: bed bugs!! we saw three on the morning of us checking out. mattresses looked old so probably explains it. place isn't the cleanest, but you could call it 'grungy' i guess

Liked: hot shower, nice greeter, decent mattress

Disliked: above notes: direct line to hostel needed, its grungy and needs a really good clean and a coat of paint! charge a bit more, have a breakfast, continental at least, please!!

Liked: It's a small hostel so it's really easy to meet people, the living-room area is comfortable and great for socializing. Camilla is really friendly and interesting to talk to and there's no lock-out in the kitchen area.

Disliked: The directions given on Hostelbookers is completely incorrect; all the people I met at the hostel had an extremely difficult time actually locating the hostel.

Liked: Location and atmosphere both great. Easy to get talking to people. Run by a very friendly girl who makes an effort to help everyone settle in and have a good time, but the hostel is still very relaxed. Brilliant location for sightseeing, two minutes from the Ponte Vecchio, five from the Duomo. Clean, kitchen has fridge microwave and stove.

Disliked: Safes to store valuables would be appreciated for piece of mind, although I had no problems.

Liked: We met a lot of friends here at this hostel and all went out together at night! The hostel was in a great location right near some great sites. Camilla was an amazing host!!! I would absolutely recommend this hostel for people of all ages!

Disliked: The bunk beds were a little rickety so if people on the top bunk moved the whole bunk moved. Also not lockers available but it was safe enough that they weren't really needed.

Liked: The hostel was absolutely fantastic. It is in the perfect location to get out and see almost everything. Right by the river, Doumo, and the Uffizi Galleries. It's very homey, clean, and in general a great place to stay at. The wireless works great and is free! We had access to the kitchen, although supermarkets are hard to find. There is a lot of helpful information in the hostel about where to go and what to see, all organized by the one person staff. Our stay was great!

Liked: Remember that they charge €5 for linen on top of the rate you pay, i didnt realise this, which made it more expensive than another hostel i was staying in, in Florence. They need to fix the stove, only a camping flame to use. make sure you lock things in the locker, as the doors have no locks.

Liked: Thanks for your help, Franco. Very friendly & try to make you feel at home. The big bathroom is awesome although you have to queue for it. No double-decker bed!! Location is very near to lots of main tourist attractions. You will have key which make it very convenient for you to come back anytime you like.

Liked: The sheets were clean. The manager of the hostel was very kind and tried his best to create and at home atmosphere during the stay. The hostel is located in a very nice area of Florence and walking distance from all major tour sites. You get a key to the door so you can let yourself in and out of the hostel. There was no AC, but the rooms tempeture were nice because of the huge window in every room that venitlates fresh air through the room with the help of a fan. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Liked: franko, who runs to hostel is such a legend. he is helpful, kind, and is willing to go to many lengths to make sure you have a good time. located in the heart of florence, all tourist attractions are close walking distance. no wi fi but computers with internet access are available to use. no bunks in rooms which was awesome, plently of room to fit all of your luggage unlike other hostels i have stayed at (which have had cramped quarters).thankyou franko for all your kindness! stay here!

Liked: Great location... close to everything .. staff Franko is the best.. a little quite but don't take that in a bad way he is willing to help when ever with what ever. Very safe .. clean and nice hot showers. Full kitchen facilties... two bathrooms and huge lockers .. bring a lock skinner ones are better.. but some can use a larger locker. Oh yeah and the rooms have ceiling fans this is great!!

Liked: Franco (the hostel owner) is the most generous and sweet man you will ever, ever meet. He will do anything to make your stay as comfortable and as homely as possible. In fact he made me pinky swear at the beginning that I would treat this place as my home for the 4 nights I was here.I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, Ive never stayed somewhere to welcoming and friendly.The hostel is cleaned daily (if not more), there is internet, a clean kitchen, balcony, and all facilities are just around the corner (post office, bank, laundry, market, library, the cathedral and of course the markets).This has been my favourite hostel of all time! Thanks Franco
