Liked: Location, open atmosphere for meeting people

Disliked: First off, the directions from the train station to the hostel were not clear at all - when I first arrived, I wasn't sure I was going in the right direction so I called the hostel for directions. The staff member was not helpful at all, telling me to just ask around for directions to Piazza della repubblica, even when I told him the name of the street I was on as a reference point. Second, the hostel was trying to fit 25+ people into 2 or 3 small rooms - my friend and I were surprised to find that we were placed in a 10-bed room when we had reserved an 8-bed room... and there were 14 beds in another room that was supposed to only have 10 beds. It was way too crowded, and at night it got way too hot and claustrophobic in the room. Third, there were only 2 bathrooms, only one of which had hot water. Since there were so many people, there was always a line to use the bathroom and/or shower no matter how early you woke up. To top it off, the bathrooms weren't even clean. Fourth, I felt the staff was friendly enough but they didn't conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and managed to get everybody together talking, eating and drinking together. It made it a very nice place to meet people form different parts of the world. Following the directions.

Disliked: There were not enough bathrooms for the number of people staying in the hostel. It was also on the 4th floor which I don't think was mentioned on the website. Although it was easy to find with the directions there was nothing on the outside of the building saying it was there.

Liked: Excellent location, near everything!

Disliked: Kitchen was not that clean, you have to stay out of the hostel from 11 to 16, so you cant have lunch there.

Liked: It's cheap for Florence, and the location is decent for getting around the pocket sized city. This is little more than a place to drop a bag and grab a few Zzzzs.

Disliked: Few bathrooms, a touch of grime, and little to no personality.

Liked: nothing

Disliked: THIS IS THE ABSOLUTELY WORST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. If you want to sleep in a filthy and putrid room, wait endlessly in line for the two disgusting bathrooms designated for the 50 people staying there, get eaten up by mosquitos and miscellaneous insects during the night, be given a 10 person room when you paid for an 8 person room, breathe in second hand smoke all night long, and most of all, get the rudest and worst service and treatment from the most idiotic and worthless people then you have found the right hostel for you. Basically, this place needs to be shut down. Despite the fact that they probably break countless health regulations and that it's just plain uncomfortable, the people here are the worst I have ever encountered in the 20+ hostels I have stayed throughout my life. Also, you will probably come out dirtier by showering in those two bathrooms than you were before.

Liked: It is really close to the city centre and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and sights. The hostel staff were helpful too.

Disliked: There were approximately 60 people staying at this hostel with only 2 bathrooms which contained one shower and one toilet each. This mean that you often queued for ages for the loo. We often ended up going for a coffee nearby and using the facilities there rather than waiting. Also, there was hardly any hot water, so when you did finally get into the shower, it was a miserable experience...

Liked: Great location!! Although just two bathrooms, they were comfortable (when you were able to get into one, after a long queue of people)

Disliked: Just two bathrooms, and that made things really hard if you wanted to take a bath. Sometimes it seemed that the people running the hotel tried really hard to be nice, and sometimes it was quite annoying

Liked: Location was the only good thing

Disliked: Where do I begin.....we arrived and were let in but couldn't find anyone to check in with. Only 2 bathrooms for the whole place is ridiculous!!!! Queues for showers in the morning and hot water if you were lucky. No ladders to get to the top bunk and not very sturdy. Only 1 key was given between 5 of us. To top it off I have bites from bed bugs.

Disliked: Unclean, only 2 bathroom among 50 ppl... 8-12 people were stuffed in every room though it was mentioned as 6 while booking. No hot water in morning, in short worst place to be.

Liked: Its worthy for the location or just for a quick stay. Free wi-fi internet.

Disliked: The poor conditions of the bathrooms and kitchen. I didnt feel very safe, actually on my second night, i was moved from my previous bed to another bed in the dorm without my permission, just because someone new arrived, but the manager cared to accept my refusal. The staff actually has a sign saying just to disturb only on an emergency...unfortunatly i dnt they are very serious about doing a proper job running the hostel.

Liked: Free Wifi and good location.

Disliked: There are only two bathrooms. You would have to wait to use them for lone time as I did. Staffs are lazy, and thinking only about themselves. When I reached the hostel, a door was locked and nobody answered door ring, but there was a staff inside when I finally got inside with a key of other backpacker after waiting outside for 30 minutes.

Liked: Comfy beds, Kitchen you can use, free wifi, amazing location Free sangria, wine and vodka shots on friday and saturday night!

Disliked: When we first arrived at 6 am without having slept, they made us wait in the kitchen and sleep on the sofa instead of putting beds out or anything. The staff were a bit weird at first but then got nicer! Queue for the shower/toilet in the morning, and lockout from 11-4.

Liked: its located near everything.

Disliked: The Hostel does not provide linen, safety deposit, map, and lounge room. Beware the staffs are mean and you are not allow to be in the hostel between 10am - 4pm. I felt its safer in the street then with the Hostel Staff. They are the wrost people I have met so far out of my 15 countries stay.

Liked: Location was great, right off the Piazza della Republica

Disliked: The owners smoked liked chimneys all the time, even in the kitchen while we tried to cook. Disgusting.

Disliked: dislike: the owner said:"there is a cooker here,but i don't have a lighter to light it; there is heater here but it doesn't work" not lean the owner is not helpful
