Liked: I was really surprised by how nice the room looked. It was decorated beautifully and was really colorful. The lady who was there during the day seemed friendly. The bathroom and rooms are kept very clean. Even though I stayed for two nights (ended up staying three actually), my bed was made when I got back. After backpacking for a bit, free towels and a hairdryer was quite a luxury! The location is great, since it's a 5-10 min walk to the train station and right next to the major sites. I was able to walk everywhere from the hostel. There is also a really nice restaurant about three doors down, which had good food for a very low price. There was only one computer there, but it was never being used when I needed it. It's a really small place, so there weren't too many guests staying at one time.

Disliked: When I got there, they were out of maps. Also, the limited hours of reception is definitely a drawback. I wanted to book tours of Tuscany and Cinque Terre and they offer to make bookings, but it's inconvenient to be in the hostel between 9 and 1:30 because you should be outside! It's on the third floor and the lift wasn't working when I was there (not sure if that's a regular thing).

Liked: I LOVE the fact that there are no bunks but single beds. The location is pretty central and on a main street, so there are always a lot of people which makes it quite safe. The facilities were kept clean. The view from the balcony is just exceptional. You can see the Duomo and all the beautiful typical Tuscan orange rooftops.

Disliked: The only thing I can think of are the limited office hours. You had to make sure to be there within that time range in order to officially check-in and pay. However, staff were very helpful in making arrangements for your entry into the hostel outside of those hours. I received an email with the codes to the hostel doors and the key to our room was left somewhere accessible once we got inside. My friend wants to note that one of the showers lacked water pressure, but the one I used worked just fine.

Liked: It's is a nice and quite place, with a reasonable price and in a great location.

Disliked: The available time of the administration is really poor, you can contact only from 9am to 1.30pm, but at the same time it is not a big deal, because they help you anyway by mail.

Liked: Nice, cute little place, right amount of rooms in bedrooms. I had nice people in my shared dorm so made it better. Nice shower and bathroom and helpful staff. Lovely place would definitely recommend.

Disliked: Kitchen was a little low on facilities but provided basic utensils etc. wouldn't advise trying to cook there or anything though. WiFi wasn't working and there wasn't anyone around to help fix it. Staff meant to be there 9am-1.30pm and didn't arrive until about 9.30 which made me a little late as I was planning to leave at 9, guess its partly my fault, I should have paid when I arrived instead so didn't have to wait.

Liked: Described itself well on HostelBookers. Friendly, helpful, staff. They prefer people to check in at certain times however they make that clear on the website and they also contacted me by email to confirm my arrival time. As others have said, it is slightly tricky to find. As you're walking watch the street names and street numbers closely. Good locality to the station, which means the Duomo is only 10-15 minutes walk away. Great room. Small communal area with small fridge, kettle and microwave (as described).

Disliked: The kettle in the kitchen is broken - not a big deal but given it's the only one, and the communal space is very small, perhaps it could be replaced? Staff are available at all times but not necessarily on-site. This was not an issue for us, but might a consideration for others.

Liked: The location was perfect for visiting Florence, and for being close to the train station. It was also nice having the supermarket right across the street, so that we could buy stuff for breakfast and lunch. I thought quality for the price we paid was excellent. I also thought the sinks in the rooms were very helpful.

Disliked: I wouldn't say that I disliked anything. Some might say that having only one bathroom is a drawback, but I never once had to wait, nor did I have anyone banging on the door, telling me to hurry up.

Liked: Good location with a lovely view from kitchen. Fridge, friendly staff especially Florence. Free computer.

Disliked: Horrible sheets. As thin as paper, old and did not fit the bed properly. Also a little noisy

Liked: The market was very close to the hostel, up a block and just around the corner. The room was a 4 dorm and had two sinks in the room with a mirror so you never had to wait for anyone to be done in the bathroom just to brush your teeth or wash your face. Free wi fi and acess to one computer. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. No lockers to lock valuables in, but we did have our own key to the room we shared with other ppl so we just kept all our valuables with us and Locked our suitcases in the room while we were out, wasn't a big deal. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Disliked: kitchen was nothing special it had a microwave and fridge. But we ate out every night anyways:)

Liked: Everything was great: the hostel is very well located, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very helpful and many services are included. As the place is rather small, everything is organized and very peaceful during the night. Highly recomended.

Disliked: There was nothing I disliked.

Liked: It has a grate loacation just 5 minutes from the central station by feet and near to all atractions, there is a small supermarket just infront. The rooms are spacious and not bunk bed so you dont have to feel someone else moving what is NICE all was very clean I just have to say I enjoy the place.

Liked: Very, very secure. Great location just a few mins from the duomo and incredible view from the tiny balcony of the kitchen/room 5. Great that there's free internet and the kitchen with lots of thing to share. Great for couples and small groups of friends. Huge room with a sink, which is useful when you're sharing a bathroom.

Disliked: Our room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, which wasn't very pleasant. Also the traffic noise could be a bit irritating, but I guess there's not much more you can do about that.

Liked: Private apartment with our own bathroom and kitchen for very cheap. Also great location right in the middle of attractions

Liked: The location was perfect. Could literally see the Duomo from the kitchen window. The rooms were wide and there were two bathrooms available. Really liked that they had a communal computer as well as free wifi. We were only there for one night but it would have been a great place to stay longer because they offered a refrigerator and a microwave. Since October is basically off season there weren't a lot of people staying at the hostel and my friend and I ended up getting a room to ourselves which was nice. Because we arrived after staff hours and left early before staff hours, we never met anyone who worked there but we had constant communication through email and clear instructions were given with the codes of entry (double security locks made us feel extra safe!) with a map and our key waiting for us.

Disliked: So many stairs!

Liked: Staff were in every morning cleaning the bathrooms and making every bed! very friendly and spoke good english too.

Disliked: we should have been told that we needed to pay extra than what our confirmation said due to city tax!! as well as the stated balance we still had to pay another 24 euros which we did not obviously budget for. this did not make us very happy on arrival!!!

Liked: Rooms and beds very comfortable, very clean, great view out the back patio (although it's a little small, but still), staff wonderful and very helpful, location very handy for trains, buses, and sights.

Disliked: Wifi a little in and out.
