Liked: Polite and helpful staff. The room was clean.

Disliked: Perhaps, a little too far from the central railway station, though not more than 15 to 20 minutes walk.

Liked: Safe, clean hostel close to city centre. Dorms and rooms are cleaned daily.

Disliked: Strange and unwelcoming building. A converted gym, rooms have a jail\hospital\school feel. Too many rules and extra charges! Might as well get arrested and spend the night in a real jail for free.

Liked: Super friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms, nice residential area, linens/towels provided, felt very safe, very accomodating to students.

Disliked: Have to pay extra for AC, need to bring your own soap.

Liked: Staff very helpfull and hostel very clean. Bus service right out the front was very handy.

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful, giving us advice on where to eat and things to see - couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious and there was lots of communial areas. Also not forgetting the sweets on the reception desk!!

Disliked: Nothing! It was perfect for the amount we wanted to spend. Just remember mosquito spray though...

Liked: Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay at this hostel - its in a good location, has really good facilities (vending machine was really cheap!) and a good atmosphere with a chance to chat to other travelers and would definitely stay again!

Disliked: The only thing I didnt like about the hostel was that you had to pay for the air conditioning (7 euros a night!) - it was nearly 38 degrees some days so feel it should really have been included as most travelers are trying to save every penny :)

Liked: The rooms and the bathrooms are very nice. The hostel is very centrally located with only a short walk into the center of Florence. Good location and not too loud.

Disliked: It does not really have the feeling of a youth hostel. We met no new people and everything was very strict. Two of the staff members (the guy and one girl) were very helpful and friendly, but the other girl was very rude and obnoxious. Also, if this hostel could charge you for walking on the floor they would. They charge you for absolutely EVERYTHING, at unbelieveable prices. Internet is slow, even when you pay for it, and the 5£ breakfast gets you a slice of bread and juice. There was a huge Do Not list posted to our door, including a ridiculous £150 fine for losing a room key. We were scared during our stay that if we took one wrong move, we would be fined.

Liked: Very good value rooms. They have been the best value private rooms (with ensuite) we've had in Italy. It is a 20-30 minute walk from the train station, however, a quick bus ride can save you the time. Buses from the hostel also take you to Florence's centre. The rooms were very clean, noise was minimal, although breakfast is very, very basic.

Liked: We were happy to walk into our room and find it very spacious! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was not bad at all, 20 min walk to the main station, and to the city centre. We enjoyed our time here. However, the internet is EXPENSIVE! which we found a little ridiculous.

Liked: a nice hostel, the location is a bit far away from the city center but there is a big supermarket close to it. The hosts are quite nice and helpful. The most important is, extremely clean!!!

Liked: The staff were possibly the most helpful and most friendly I have ever come across at a hotel/hostel. They made us feel relaxed and welcome from the moment we stepped over the threshold. The room was as good as any budget hotel I have stayed in (actually very spacious) and the hostel was quiet. It is a llittle walk out of the city, which did tell on our feet for the first few days, but in walking this route we discovered hundreds of excellent restaurants out of the tourist centre--far too many to try in a week. Proximity of the supermarket was useful for fruit/snacks/wine. Could go on with my positive opinions of the place but you really ought to see for yourselves!

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. It was on a convenient bus route into town. It was very clean. The rooms were serviced every day with clean towels every day. I had a big room. There were nice sitting areas with posh Italian magazines to read. Handy coffee machine in breakfast area. Free buns and juice in the morning. Receptionist booked my entrance tickets for the Uffizzi and the academia. Much appreciated.

Liked: The room was spotless clean every day. The staff is very helpful but it is not a place to meet people. Also, it quite far from the train station, about 25 min walk, which means is quite far from the tourist places. But, if you don't mind walking... There is a supermarket right on the corner and several little restaurants around.
