Liked: The rooms were bigger and cleaner than most hotel rooms in the states. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was satisfactory.

Liked: The place was clean and the staff was really helpful. The room size was pretty good as well. The small mini fridge was a great bonus!

Disliked: I believe the address and the directions that were given to us were incorrect so we spend some time looking for it.

Liked: The description of the hotel on Hostel Bookers is pretty thin so we relied on the pictures for what to expect from the rooms. Our room looked very little like the photos on the site. In two of the three room pictures there were balconies and in the picture without a balcony the room appeared to be large and airy. In fact our room was cramped and smelled musty with two windows (one of which leaked when it rained. The fourth picture showed building right down on the water whereas we were 15 minutes up the hill. Friends of ours who also stayed in Cinque Terre paid only 20 euro more a night and had a significantly better room at another establishment. If traveling to Cinque Terre again I would certainly not stay at Locanda Ca dei Duxi. What we got was just not worth the money.However on a positive note I will say that the staff was amazingly friendly and always cheerful.

Liked: The location was awesome and the room was nice and neat. The place is VERY skimpy on the towels though, bring your own unless you like showering and toweling off using a towel about as thick as a tablecloth. The bathroom was pretty nice overall with a bidet. The shower gets water everywhere.

Liked: Very clean, beautiful furniture in the room we stayed in. Nice bathroom with a hairdryer! The porch overlooked the main street and was great! The staff was really nice, very accommodating, and suggested a wonderful restaurant!

Liked: Great breakfast, towels changed every day, perfect location to explore cinque terre, on the main street a stone's throw away from EVERYTHING, friendly staff, service at breakfast, hot chocolate, real coffee, juice, plus a fridge so able to do some self catering.

Liked: The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It is in a central location of the village and easily accessible. Something needs to be done about the shower facilities, maybe a door around it so as to prevent the room from being flooded every time you shower. I wouldn't recommend this village for disabled people or people with mobility problems.

Liked: this place was awsome and in an awsome location. however, there was no kitchen and we payed 3 times the price as another person did for the same exact room for the dame night. that was kind of annoying.
