Liked: Beautiful building in a fantastic location just off the main square. The hosts (family run) were charming and helpful without being too much. Thoroughly recommend this place!!

Liked: Beautiful and quiet! Great hikes and bike rides at your doorstep and very close to amazing towns like Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena.

Liked: Fattria Bassetto is AMAZING!! Seriously, if you just need a couple days, or a few days, or a few weeks, to relax... This is the place in Italy to do it. The swimming pool is gold to have around... The kitchens are awesome... There's a little herb garden... They have bikes to take for free to go to the store and everything!! There's tons to do too, but honestly it's also the perfect place to just do... nothing. Had an awesome time as usual.

Liked: Atmosphere wonderful at this hostel, feels like you are visiting someone home, full of lovely antiques. Friendly and helpful staff, pick you up from the statation. Relaxing ... I could go on for ever.

Liked: This hostel is just a "WOW"! I stayed there for some days and was so sad to leave. The hostel is located in the beautiful landscape of Tuscany. The medival town of Certaldo is close (45 min. hike on the "panoramic hike"); Firenze can be reached within 1 hour (good train connection). The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful.The atmosphere in this old building is great!The accommodation in the dorms is simple, but clean. I would love to return to such a beautiful place!

Liked: The atmosphere was great, we had a lot of fun and met people from all over the world, which is always great. There's a nice and big kitchen where you can cook your own food (for those on a budget!)

Liked: If you are looking for the ideal tuscan getaway on a budget, this is it! love the communal atmosphere - you feel like you're part of a family (the other ppl who stayed here while we did were lovely lovely people -- they made the stay even more memorable) you do whatever you wish - the owners don't get in your way at all. whether it's going for a day trip to siena or florence or lazing on the hammocks all day you can do it all here. they have a free vege and herb garden which you can pick from for your meals (remember to donate). it's not 5stars and there are no locks or keys for the rooms, but if everyone is in the same boat then you don't have to worry about security or safety of your belongings. the ONLY place while travelling around europe where i felt safe leaving my camera or passport in the room knowing it would be fine. cute pets -- 2 dogs and a cat. Highly recommended!

Liked: I was in Italy for 2 weeks and this hostel was by FAR the highlight of my trip. It was run well. You get great opportunities to explore tuscany on bikes. In addition the hostel can hook you up with a cooking course on a vineyard which i would not miss. Every night everyone got together from the villa and peasant quarters to enjoy a large family dinner. The estate itself is gorgeous and private. If you go to italy and want a taste of tuscany go to Fattoria Basseto!

Liked: The excellent location in Toscany for visiting the major touristic cities and the smaller ones. But most of all the relaxed, open atmosphere between staff/ guests and among the guests themselves. Sharing food and wine in the evening isn't customary in most hostels, in Fattoria Bassetto it was! Resulting in more occasions to meet people and share information about activities.

Liked: Wow, you HAVE to stay at Fattoria Bassetto. I LOVE staying here and have actually extended my stay from 2 days to... Well, indefinite. It's the perfect place to chill because it's in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, but there's so much to do too!! I did day trips to Florence, Siena, Pisa, and San Gimignano. The staff are the coolest (YOU ROCK DUIGALD!!) and it just has this atmosphere of relaxation attached to it that can't be beat. I'm in love with it. To Certaldo!! ...Eric

Liked: The hostel are located in the heart of Tuscany, you are in touch with nature anf feel real Italian stayle of life. Environment is nice, green and relaxing. Staff are helpfull, it is also the best place to meet people all over the world and place where you get a big doze of nature and fresh air. Everbody needs to "try" Fattoria Basetto hostel- you will easily understand happy Italian people!!!:))))))
