Liked: friendly and helpful staff, big well-maintained rooms, good location near the train station and the city centre.

Disliked: we had a room out onto the street. on saturday night, this turned out to be VERY noisy. even with closed windows, impossible to sleep without earplugs.

Liked: The staff is very nice and the apartment is big. Breakfast is large and diverse every day. Location is very centric. Public parking very near the apartment.

Disliked: Distribution of the accessories of the bathroom. Hot in the rooms (although air conditioned is in the living room)

Liked: The location and the outdoor terrace.

Disliked: This B&B provided very bad service and was a disapointing stay. There is only staff avaliable during breakfast hours and when new guests check in. When we one evening arrived back to the B&B and was left with no rinning water our stay at B&B Opera turned into a nightmare. The neighbours of the B&B had to fix the problem (which turned out to be a switch that needed addressing) at three times during the evening. Due to the water coming and going for more then 4 hours we were not able to cook our food nor have showers. One of us of had the unfortune to have a shower just when the water stopped working and therefore unfortunately had to walk with shampoo and soap on her body for 3 hours and the other had to shower in cold water. Even though we made all we could to call and seak help from the ower of the B&B nothing happened for several hours. The owner even asked us to fix the problem ourselves since he was out of town. Our reason to give low ratings for security is due to this fact. We do not find it safe nor professional that guests should have to work as electritians. WHen complaining the next day to the avaliable staff we were met by ignorance, unhelpfullness and even lies. This B&B made our stay in Catania very disapointing! The breakfast was delayed, it was said it was going to be served between 7-10 am but at 8.15 the breakfast was still not avaliable. Very little breakfast was served the first morning and the second morning bread hard as stone (old?) lay in the bread basket.

Liked: Nice B&B with lovely welcoming staff.

Disliked: The room we had was by a main road with traffic going up and down and beeping/blaring music until very late into the night. I imagine that all the other rooms were fine though, so check if the room overlooks the road or bring ear plugs.

Liked: Constantino was very proactive in arranging to meet us and he was a very charming chap. The rooms are amazing, very big and comfortable. An excellent location and amazing value for money. I'll stay here again.

Liked: The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help us out, even offering to do our laundry for us and booking excursions. The morning breakfast on the terrace was a great opportunity to meet other guests.

Disliked: It could do with a bit of a revamp/tidy up in the room we stayed in.

Liked: I loved this property. We stayed in the apartment, and it was bigger and better than my own house! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they assisted me in getting medicine for my sick brother and we just generally lovely people. It was extremely cheap for a two bedroom flat with two bathrooms, a washingmachine, fully equipped kitchen, huge entertainment area etc. Would very much recommend it, plus the location is very central.

Liked: B&B Opera is a great place! It's the ideale place to go visit Catania: in the center of the city, close to the market, the shops and the busstation for excursions... At night: you just walk down and go into the streets next to the B&B and choose a fun restaurant and bar to look at the italian passegiata!

Liked: The terrace is really nice and the dining area as well. We had a room overlooking the backyard, so it was sunny and quiet. It is a cute place close to everything and Jean(staff) is lovely, very nice and friendly, speaks excellent English and always helpful with everything. She helped with our Etna trip as well, she made our stay memorable, Thanks a lot.

Liked: Miss Lidia is very helpful and speaks great English. Dont lock the key to your room inside though as she didnt have a spare key for ours!

Liked: The room was very large, with a balcony to the street. There was a place to relax outside. The owner was friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the central train and bus station in one direction. In the other very close to the central city attractions, restaurants and bars.
