Liked: The lady living there was one of the most friendly and helpful people i´ve met. The hostel is very cosy as one´s own house! Recommend to everybody!

Liked: Great place to stay . Great atmosphere and friendly owners . Arranged transport and trips out for us which made life easy . The owners were friendly and we could relax in the dining room in the evening . If you want a different experience and wnat to meet and learn aboout sicilans this is the place to stay . Lovely home cooked breakfast , fresh bread and home made jam and eggs . Great choice for us .

Liked: This B and B is a veritable alladin's cave of beautiful art work, chrystal chandaliers and a wonderful breakfast - the best in Sicily. However nothing could prepare me for the first morning I went into the Breakfast room and after a very stormy night of wind and rain the skies cleared and I faced the most perfect view of Mr Etna the white snow against an intense blue sky and smoke arising from the conical shaped Mt. A Heart Stopping moment and one I will never forget

Disliked: Very few buses in the immediate area. tho the immediate area was safe and residential. However I had serious problems trying to open what looked like an original medieval door lock. ! I needed to use 2 hands and even then it was terrifyingly difficult. anyone with slight arthritis would find it impossible (I am over 60) No access to the internet which these days is pretty essential to check stuff, hotels, trips, trains flights etc. Neither did I find one in Catania itself. I stayed at a very cold time and my room was very cold. I was informed I could not use the air conditioning except in the eve. I cheated as I was so cold. Duvets would be better on the bed and the single bed was pretty narrow.

Liked: Very safe and clean. In a good location, just few hundred metres from the main street of the city. great view of mt etna. Owners were very friendly.

Disliked: The breakfast was dissapointing, stale bread and biscuits with an egg and an orange. Room was cold.

Liked: The owners are kind and very knowledgeable about where to go in Sicily. They made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were very good.

Disliked: The entrance to the bed and breakfast made me feel a bit nervous at first, as we arrived late and the front of the building just looks like an apartment building. However, the actual living space is very, very nice.

Liked: I liked to sit in the roof garden.The bed was very comfortable, it was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I did like the decoration of the hostel.There was good hot water in the shower.

Liked: I highly recommend SirTanus B&B to anyone going to Catania! The place has a strong possitive atmosphere and is visually very appealing - enjoy the brilliant interier, or just chill out at the beautiful panoramatic terace. Also the landlord with his wife are very kind people willing to help anyone anytime. Their slogan says it all - warm landlords experts in story tales and homemade jams :).

Liked: The place and decoration

Disliked: I think the owners were absent during my stay, just a young lady hosted me and prepared breakfast. She couldn't speak any language apart from Italian so there wasn't any conversation. There was a strange atmosphere rather cold. In addition, the place is a twenty-minute walk to the town center, can't say it's very close.

Liked: A good place to discover Catania or to make an excursion on Mt. Etna. It´s just a ten minutes walk to the city center - excellent. Great couple who runs the b&b.

Disliked: Only the way to the train station or main bus stopp takes about half an hour by public bus.

Liked: J'ai surtout apprécié l accueil des responsables , Gaetano et Eleonore . Accueil plus que chaleureux , dans un cadre familial , dans un lieu ayant du cachet et décoré avec gout . Les responsables sont plus que prévénants , vous donne moultes informations pour passer un séjour inoubliable . C est d ailleurs le plus bel endroit et le plus merveilleux accueil que j ai eu lors de mes voyages . une seule adresse donc à Catania : Sir Tanus .

Liked: This is a gem. Prepare to be treated as a real guest by the kind and learned hosts. Avvocato Mustica may leave a small pile of the books he has written by your pillow, if you read Italian. A beautiful apartment.

Liked: The gracious owners of Sir Tanus B&B are very hospitable and helpful. The accommodation is in a good location, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a sunny patio with a great view of Mount Etna. But staying here is more than just good accommodation – it is a wealth of art, literature and culture. For a truly unique and unforgettable Sicilian experience I would highly recommend a stay at Sir Tanus B&B.

Liked: Recently I stood at Sirtanus HotelIt is a lovely place, a real B&B Hotel close to the center of Catania. There is a beautiful terrace with a superb view on the town and the Etna.The pople are very kind, the owner Gaetano Mustica is a very interesting person, you will get a lot to know about Catania, Italy and politics, if you like. I can recommend the place. Next time I will stay for a few more days than the last time.Marietta Kaeser

Liked: Small, family-run hostel with exceptionally friendly and hospitable owners and a great atmosphere not only inside the house but also on the big terrace, which offers a fantastic view of Catania and all facilities to relax.
