The C.C.Ly hostel (which stands for "Cheap and Chic Lounge Youth Hostel") is the perfect combination between a '60 years style design and a really comfortable place where you'll have all you need to enjoy your Sicilian holiday as best as possible, included a wonderful view of Etna!

Our staff will guide you throught the fantastic tastes and smells and places of this land with tasting sessions of Sicilian wine and specialities (Cannolo day:), and the trips TO the most beautiful sights of Sicily (Etna, Pantalica, Cavagrande, Vendicari and other amazing places that are often impossible to reach without a private means of transport). We also organize really cheap tours around Catania to discover all those hidden sites around the city.

We provide all the essential services and more: a very equipped double-workspace kitchen which includes corkscrew and kettle too, attached dining room, living room, TV, pay-tv, HD television, internet point, wi-fi in common areas and in the rooms, laundry with washing machine and dryer, disabled-friendly environment, lockers, free maps, minibar, a lot of games, air conditioning, and the list could continue...

Location Information

Our hostel is in a very strategic position: only 5 min. walk from both the train and the bus station, close to Via Etnea (main street for your shopping), the historic centre, the fantastic Fiera (Largest open air market in Italy) and Bellini Theatre are just around the corner.
Our building dates back to the 19th century and it is one of the most elegant in the city with an astonishing view of the Volcano Etna.

Walking in the city, you can see archeological digs and learn more about the previous ancient cities (Greeks, Romans..) underneath the actual city. Like most of Sicily, Catania is renowned for its beautiful Baroque city center, for its landscapes (seaside and Mt Etna), history (Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabians, Normans, Spanish, etc..) and of course the mediterranean weather.

Catania is also the cradle of theater and musici making it a great place to stay by day and by night. In the day, when the sun shines, the city's Baroque palaces, and their glistening black lava and white limestone dominate the view. When the evening comes, the clubs open and the squares fill up with people.
