Hotel Gresi welcomes you and your family and friends to the beautiful town of Catania, Sicily. Our warm and friendly hotel offers you, our esteemed guests, and Sicilian hospitality at great value for money from a location right in the heart of Catania’s historical centre.

The 3 star Hotel Gresi Catania interior is adorned with frescoes and a grand and beautiful original décor from the 18th century. Our rooms are of a classical style with all of the basic amenities that you’d need or find at home.

Here you’ll find fabulous ceilings, high like they don’t make them anymore, with original frescoes that will take your breath away and ornate carved antique furniture produced by artisans of yesteryear right here in Catania.

The grandeur of our public areas is also repeated in our spacious guestrooms, some of which are also visible on the tour. The large guestrooms allow in a great amount of natural light and some face out onto Via Etnea, the city’s main shopping street that leads down to Catania’s famed University and the Duomo of Sant’Agata.

All rooms are en suite with modern bathrooms including showers or a bathtub – one very particular, carved out of marble by hand in one of our double rooms. Each room comes with a TV and an outside telephone line as well as a mini bar.

We have 24 rooms in total, above average for a hotel in Catania, given that many of the buildings here are of a quaint yet modest 18th century style.

Rooms range from singles up to quadruples and groups are more than welcome.
For tours of the city, Mount Etna and any other kind of assistance our hotel staff will be available 24 hours a day.

The Hotel Gresi Catania bar and public lounges are spacious, of a stunning original style and offer an ideal place to meet other guests or simply relax in the tranquillity and coolness of indoors when you’re not out and about in the stunning city centre.
