Liked: Perfect location, very nice staff, we got much bigger room than ordered (so we had more space for ourselves), quite plentiful, but (unfortunately for me) typicalyy sweet italian breakfast.

Disliked: In the evening there was no electricity in the whole building, so (pumps...) also no warm or even cold water. The staff managed to repair it within two hours, but 2 most important hours: between 21:30 and 23:30...

Liked: hostel was full of amazing travelers and we all had great time together. Location, incredibly friendly and helpful stuff made my time great in Catania

Liked: good atmosphere, lots of people hanging out, bar and restaurant right next door, very friendly and helpful staff, free wifi, within walking distance to train and bus stations, right in centre of city where sights are

Disliked: cleaning staff in washrooms and kitchen at odd times cleaning, first thing in the morning when you're trying to shower and get ready they are in the bathrooms cleaning and then in the late afternoon/evening they are in the kitchen and bathrooms cleaning again, kinda in the way when you're trying to use the facilities, but they were very friendly and kind

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean, always felt like there was someone cleaning! Good showers. Loads of free DVDs to watch. Restaurant/bar next door with discounted food/drinks. Good location right in the centre of Catania. Large lockers. A great value hostel.

Disliked: Noise from construction work during the day. Kitchen is quite small. Internet is not free which seems a little pointless when computers are always on anyway. Common area pretty small and can get quite cold in the evenings.

Liked: The restaurant next door is very nice

Disliked: Facility are very poor, lockers are broken, toilet and shower room are in poor condition, wifi are not available and the computer which pay to use are very slow, in general, not impress.

Liked: Very nice location, helpfull staff that speaks good English. The location couldn't be better (apart from the train racing just next to the hostel). The attached restaurants offers good meals and happy hours for drinks. All in one: great value! Oh, and when travelling as a couple, take the double rooms. They are newly renovated with private bath room and only a few euros more than the dorms.

Disliked: Well, the train....

Liked: Great location, very friendly and helpful staff.I met lovely people there and I could see everything around so easily without walking too much.Also the bus station is very close the one that buses to Siracusa go to at piazza Boresellino.The railway station can be reached also walking in 15-20 minutes.

Disliked: Everything was fine except the noise from the bar of the hostel but I knew about it 'cos I read in a few forums on internet that lots of young people go there to have fun late at night.I'm not complaing about it just mention it.I was given ear stoppers so I solved that little problem. :)))

Liked: Good atmosphere. There is a bar restaurant next to the hostel in which you get discount and food is delicious. Friendly staff. It has a laundry machine. Location.

Disliked: Poor breakfast.

Liked: Location to the Duomo was amazing and the property is really nice. The bar is also a place for locals to hang out of an evening too I think

Disliked: The wifi was only available in the bar - external to the hostel and was only available to 8pm. Also you couldnt use the wifi in the bar where they serve breakfast (only until 930 and everything is gone) because the lady putting on breakfast asks you to leave so she can clean and come back later. She was really rude.

Liked: Great location, with the hostel itself being one of the most popular places for people to hang out at night, free wifi, big and well stocked kitchen and very helpful staff that made this my favourite hostel in Italy so far!

Disliked: Some rooms have no lockers, no toilet seats on most toilets, note that you MUST bring earplugs to sleep here (I had some, so I slept fine), free breakfast is not great.

Liked: Really close to everything in Catania especially the markets, and a kitchen to cook dinner with

Disliked: The bathrooms. No toilet seats, temperamental showers and trough sinks with only cold taps. I also didn't get to see the lava cave, when I asked one of the staff about it they had no idea what I was talking about! :(

Disliked: Pretty run down, not clean. No electrical sockets in rooms. Have to go down to the pub to use internet (overpriced drinks... obviously the hostel and pub working together). Very very noisy, you may as well sleep at a table in the pub. No locks on any doors (people had stuff stolen the night i was there)

Liked: It is very close to the bus station.

Disliked: The a lot of the place is under construction. This creates a lot of clutter and noise. Some of the staff is abrupt and dismissive.

Liked: Great restaurant and bar outside, with good deals for those staying in the hostel, really helpful staff, nice room. Suggested an excellent tour of Etna to us which we went on, got picked up and dropped off by the guide at the hostel.

Disliked: A little noisy at night (our room - private double, was next to bathroom and had to keep the window open it was so hot and could hear the bar), but only minor

Liked: Location and staff and value for money arte the key features .....honestly staff are really friendly and helpful...(Noemi, Alex and Alice) open 24 hours bar rest. next to hostel.....easy to reach any point in the centre city.

Disliked: there are no many dislikes ...I can get noisy at some times....but it is a good noise
